  • Patent number: 5450348
Abstract: A digitizing device includes a digitizing tablet having, for each of the two coordinate directions, a first grid winding divided into regularly repeated strip conductor groups and a second grid winding divided into regularly repeated strip conductor groups which are offset with respect to each other at different spacings over the entire work surface. A trigger circuit charges the grid windings with periodic signals in a predetermined sequence, the charges following each other essentially without interruption. However, an interruption time period is provided between the end of charging the grid windings for the other coordinate direction and the start of charging of the grid winding for the one coordinate direction. A scanning coil to be placed upon the digitizing table is connected to an evaluating circuit. The evaluating circuit and the trigger circuit galvanically are separated from each other and operate independently of each other.

  • Patent number: 5021933
Abstract: A magnifying glass device has a lens body comprised of a cylindrical portion and a convexly curved lens section both of which are rotationally symmetrical with respect to the cylindrical axis of the cylindrical portion. In the area between the circumferential surface of the cylindrical portion and the path of an edge light beam of the lens section passing through the cylindrical portion, at least one lamp is provided. An air gap is formed in the central area between facing surfaces of the cylindrical portion and the lens section. The light emitted by the lamp is substantially totally reflected by the facing surface of the cylindrical portion. Therefore, the lamp will not be seen by the user, but will provide good illumination for the surface viewed through the magnifying glass device.

  • Patent number: 4693554
Abstract: An improved sensor magnifying glass apparatus having a magnifying glass element (1) held in a holder element (4) and comprising a cylindrical portion (2) with a superposed convex curved lens portion (3) that is rotationally symmetrical with the cylinder axis (19). A plotter coil (11) is secured to the cylindrical portion (2) in the region between that portion's circumferential face and the course of a peripheral light ray (20') through the cylindrical portion (2) that enters the lens portion (3).

  • Patent number: 4542261
Abstract: A digitizing stylus which generates a pulse that is not dependent upon the spatial displacement of the contacting pin, embodied in accordance with the invention so that the toroid coil can be moved axially, together with the contacting pin. This preferably is attained by providing that the contacting pin and the toroid coil are integrally cast in plastic, and the plastic body thereby formed has an extension on its inner end which extends to interconnect with an actuation body that is held within the shaft of the digitizing stylus, in an axially movable manner. Excitation of the toroid coil is triggered by the displacement of the actuation member, and a constant amplitude pulse will occur because no movement occurs between the contact pin and the toroid coil.

  • Patent number: 4419913
Abstract: Pattern making, particularly for the garment industry, including longitudinally advancing a web of pattern material onto a cutting table; simultaneously longitudinally advancing a web of fleece material in parallel contact with the pattern material, such that the web of fleece abuts the underside of the cardboard material; pulling a vacuum through said web of fleece, such that the pattern material is pulled towards the fleece; cutting patterns in the pattern material within the confines of the cutting table, such that a burr is formed on the underside of said pattern material and said burr engages said fleece material; simultaneously advancing the web of pattern material and the web of fleece away from the cutting area and separating the web of fleece from the pattern material, so that the cut patterns may be removed.

  • Patent number: 4295146
Abstract: An improved device for translational movement of automatic drawing machine tools of the type having a frame connected to a drawing machine, a permanent magnet system, and a controlling plunger attached for free movement, with respect to said frame. The plunger is interconnected to a tool carrier which accepts a writing tool in a manner wherein an electromagnetic control coil around the plunger and the tool carrier are moved by a mechanical linkage, pivoted upon said frame, so that the plunger and the carrier are simultaneously moved in opposite directions. The linkage preferably comprises a closed band, which runs around and over two deflection rollers, so that its mutually opposing and essentially parallel side portions are respectively connected to the tool carrier and the plunger. The interconnecting linkage also includes means to statically compensate for the different weights of the plunger and carrier.
