Abstract: A mounting arrangement 10 for mounting a dog guard 12 in a vehicle. The mounting arrangement 10 includes a bracket part 22 mountable to the dog guard 12. The bracket part 22 includes an opening 30 with a concave contact surface 34 around the opening 30. A fixing member 36 is provided threadably mountable to the end of a bar 52 which extends through the opening 30. The fixing member 36 has a sleeve 44 with a lower convex annular contact surface 48 engageable against the bracket part contact surface 34. The other end of the bar 52 is engageable with for instance a fixing hook provided on the floor of the boot of a car.
Abstract: A connection arrangement (10) for connecting perpendicular first and second tubular members (12, 14). The arrangement (10) including coaxial circular and larger square openings (20, 22) provided on opposite faces of the tubular member (12). A circular opening (24) is provided in the second tubular member (14) alignable with the openings (26, 28) further openings are provided in the member 14 on either side of the opening to receive a face of the first member (12) when abutting against the second member (14). A nut (36) is trapped behind the opening (24), and a bolt (38) can extend through the two openings (20, 22) in the first member to engage with the bolt (38) to retain the members (12, 14) together.

Abstract: A retractable step assembly 10, 51, 60 for a vehicle. The assembly 10, 51, 60 comprises a step member 24, and a connection arrangement of variable length extendible from the step member 24 to a mounting 50 on the vehicle. The assembly 10 is configured such that operation thereof causes the connection arrangement to selectively increase or decrease in length. At a minimum length of the connection arrangement the step 24 is retracted, and at a maximum length of the connection arrangement the step 24 is in an in use position.
