  • Patent number: 9387822
Abstract: An airbag device includes an inflator, an airbag, a holding member, and a gas rectifying member. The holding member has an opening to be formed at least when the airbag initiates to inflate. The holding member restricts the inflation of the airbag toward its outer periphery until the middle of the deployment of the airbag. The gas rectifying member restricts a flow of a gas toward an occupant and has an outlet port that discharges the gas toward the outer periphery of the airbag. When the airbag inflates, the gas rectifying member projects toward the occupant through the opening of the holding member, and the gas of the inflator causes the gas rectifying member to inflate until at least part of the outlet port is located at the occupant side beyond the opening of the holding member.

Abstract: A side airbag device (1) protects the passenger (90) in the lateral space (92). The airbag (10) has an attaching portion (11) attached to a side section (85) of a seat (80), and is folded so as to be able to deploy from the side section (85) toward the lateral space (92). The inflator (2) generates gas and thereby deploys the airbag (10) to a leading end portion (12) in the deployment direction (F). The airbag (10) has a bellows-like folded section in which a part (30) between the leading end portion (12) and the attaching portion (11) is folded in a bellows-like shape. The bellows-like folded section is disposed in front of the attaching portion (11) in the deployment direction (F), and is folded double toward the back of the deployment direction (F) so that a portion (32) close to the attaching portion (11) is positioned therein.

Abstract: When end lock has occurred in a seat belt retractor due to winding-up of a webbing, the end lock is easily and surely released. A stop part (6G) engages with a lock arm (40) displaced in a locking operation direction and stops the lock arm (40). A lock mechanism (9), in a state where the lock arm (40) stands still on the stop part (6G), starts operation with rotation in a pull-out direction (P) of a winding drum and stops rotation of the winding drum. A transmission mechanism (19) transmits rotation of the winding drum to the lock arm (40) and displaces the lock arm (40) in a release direction to release the engagement with the stop part (6G) is released between the time when operation of the lock mechanism (9) is started and the time when rotation of the winding drum is stopped. Release means (18) releases the engagement between the lock arm (40) and the stop part (6G) by the transmission mechanism (19).

  • Patent number: 9199601
Abstract: When an inner bag is inflated inside an outer bag, impact on an occupant received by an airbag is reduced. An inner bag (30) is inflated with gas supplied from an inflator (3). A gas exhaust port (31) is formed on the inner bag (30) and allows the gas to flow from the inner bag (30) in an occupant direction (E). An outer bag (20) accommodates the inner bag (30) and is inflated with the gas supplied from the gas exhaust port (31). A restriction member restricts the inflation of a portion of the inner bag (30) to change a direction of which the gas flows out from the gas exhaust port (31) to avoid the occupant direction. The restriction member breaks during the inflation of the outer bag (20) to release the restriction of the inflation of the inner bag (30).
