Original or pre-programmed messages may be posted on a website or delivered along with the location of the user device to any number of communication devices. The various embodiments provide an efficient manner of updating selected individuals with the location of a user and of providing those individuals with desired information.

Memory of a video processor stores each camera's captured portion of the larger scene. The video processor and a buffer memory execute a process for merging each camera's captured portion of the larger scene into a continuous integrated video that is stored in a memory of a video server. The video server and a set-top box communicate via the IPTV network. The video server receives inputs from the set-top box operated by a subscriber for viewing specific portions of the integrated video. The requested portion of the integrated video is streamed from the buffer memory to the set-top box.
