Abstract: A communication system includes a plurality of time division multiplexed (TDM) public switched telephone network (PSTN) trunks, a Signal Control Point (SCP), a Softswitch, and an Internet telephony call controller. The SCP a plurality of phone numbers for time division multiplexed TDM PSTN lines with an Internet telephony feature group that has Internet telephony feature handling. The SCP routes phone calls that are directed to phone numbers in the Internet telephony feature group through at least one dedicated trunk of the PSTN to the Softswitch. The Softswitch routes phone calls that it receives on the dedicated trunk to the Internet telephony call controller for Internet telephony feature handling.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments relate to methods and computer program products for the presentation and selection of preset instant messaging responses in an IPTV environment. The method comprises respectively associating each of a plurality of predetermined keywords with at least one content-specific reply message, respectively associating each of the plurality of keywords with at least one content-specific graphic icon, and respectively associating each of a plurality of graphic icons with at least one content-specific reply message. The method also comprises receiving an instant message, determining if a predetermined keyword is comprised within the received instant message, and displaying the received instant message. Yet further, the method comprises creating an instant message reply to the received instant message, and transmitting the instant message reply to the remote communication device.

Abstract: Systems and methods for an integrated antenna and satellite dish. Exemplary embodiments include an apparatus, including a satellite dish, a wireless antenna coupled to the satellite dish and a coupling box communicatively coupled to the satellite dish and the wireless antenna. Additional exemplary embodiments include a content communication method, including receiving a satellite signal, receiving a first wireless signal, performing coupling box processing on the satellite signal and the wireless signal, transmitting the satellite signal and the wireless signal to a set top box and performing set top box processing on the satellite signal and wireless signal. Further exemplary embodiments include a content communication system, including a satellite dish for receiving content from a satellite, a wireless antenna for receiving content from a wireless network and a coupling box for processing the content from the satellite and the content from the wireless network.

A first video frame is identified for the first video segment, the first video frame representing content of the first video segment, A second begin tag is created for the program, the second begin tag defines a beginning of a second video segment of the program. A second video frame is identified for the second video segment, the second video frame representing content of the second video segment. The first begin tag is distinct from the second begin tag, the first video frame is distinct from the second video frame, and the first video segment is distinct from the second video segment.

Abstract: A scheduled broadcast time is retrieved for a program that is to be delivered in advance of the scheduled broadcast time, wherein the scheduled broadcast time is associated with a program content identifier for the program. Prior to the scheduled broadcast time, a pre-cast channel is selected on a network by selecting at least one of a currently unused channel or a dedicated pre-cast channel. Prior to the scheduled broadcast time, a signal is sent for placing a viewer program storage device into a pre-cast mode, such that viewing of the pre-cast channel is disabled. Prior to the scheduled broadcast time, the program is delivered to the viewer program storage device over the pre-cast channel, wherein the delivered program is associated with the program content identifier and a time stamp for disabling playback of the delivered program until arrival of the scheduled broadcast time.

Abstract: Methods and computer program products for reporting application and device data retrieved from within an Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) network environment are provided. IPTV system usage data is retrieved from at least one IPTV device and normalized into a predetermined data format. The IPTV system usage data is parsed according to predetermined criteria. The parsed IPTV system usage data is delivered to a dedicated data mart for storage, the IPTV system usage data that is stored within at least one dedicated data mart is accessed, and the IPTV system usage data that is stored at the at least one dedicated data mart is used to generate a report.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and computer program products provide dynamic replacement communication identification (ID) service. A request is received from a user for dynamic replacement communication ID from a current location of the user. The user requesting dynamic replacement communication ID is authenticated. A user profile of the user requesting dynamic replacement communication ID is retrieved. A current profile of the current location is replaced with the user profile of the user.

Abstract: A method, Internet protocol television (IPTV) enabled communication device, and computer program product for automatic message services are provided. A processor executes instructions from a memory. An input and output (I/O) device is for transmitting and receiving, respectively. A client application is stored in the memory and configured to provide the automatic message service. The client application receives input of a message to be presented at an appropriate time, receives input of an action associated with the message, receives input of a recipient for the message, and presents the message for display to the recipient at the appropriate time.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer products for providing podcasts via Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) are disclosed herein. Exemplary embodiments include a network-based method for providing digital media podcasts. The method includes receiving a request to render at least one podcast on a communications device authenticated on an IPTV network, retrieving the at least one podcast from the IPTV network, and providing the at least one podcast to the communications device.

Abstract: A mood of a user is estimated based on a user's profile, data indicative of a user's mood received from a communication device associated with the user and from sources other than the user, and environmental data with a potential impact on the user's mood. Data indicative of the user's mood and the environmental data are processed to filter out data that is not relevant to the user's mood. The filtered data is cross-correlated with the user profile, and the mood of the user is estimated based on the cross-correlated filtered data. A network and services may be controlled based on a user's mood. Suggestions for interacting with the user may be generated based on the user's mood.

The receiver includes an input portion, a processor, a user interface, a control module, and a network interface. The processor executes a control module for processing the input command and generating a query in accordance with the input command. Abstract: A method is disclosed for determining a technician to dispatch to a customer site requiring a service call. A first plurality of technicians assigned to a customer site requiring a service call is determined. A location of each of the technicians is also determined. A first plurality of distances is determined between each of the technicians and a plurality of locations at which is disposed equipment needed for the service call. A second plurality of distances is determined between each of the technicians and a plurality of service vehicles at which is disposed the equipment needed for the service call. One of the technicians is dispatched to the customer site based on the location of each of the technicians, on the first plurality of distances, and on the second plurality of distances. A system for implementing the method is also disclosed.

Abstract: A method of managing bandwidth usage at a customer premises includes receiving a content stream at a set-top box device coupled to a display device. The method also includes receiving a signal at the set-top box device from an external power interface. The signal indicates that a low power state has been detected at a power outlet of the external power interface, the power outlet associated with the display device. Further, the method includes sending a signal to a source of the content stream in response to receiving the signal indicating the low power state. The signal indicates that the source is to cease sending the content stream to the set-top box device.
