  • Publication number: 20170078480
Abstract: A method includes receiving a call from communication device associated with a caller. The call is directed to a second communication device associated with a callee. The method includes determining whether a caller profile associated with the caller is available. The method includes searching at least two networks in response to determining that the caller profile is not available. The method includes creating the caller profile based on the search of the at least two networks and populating a caller identification portal with at least one of a plurality identification characteristics included in the caller profile.

  • Publication number: 20140126430
Abstract: A method includes receiving, at an analog telephony adapter unit, a voice over internet protocol call signal including a caller identifier. The caller identifier includes a calling number and a billing name associated with the calling number. The method further includes retrieving an alias (or display name) associated with the calling number from a personal address book. The method further includes transmitting a modified caller identifier including the calling number and the alias to an output device.

  • Publication number: 20130239152
Abstract: A system includes a converter to receive a receiving a satellite signal at first transport frequencies and to convert the satellite signal to second transport frequencies and a processor. The processor removes a radio frequency portion from the satellite signal without altering a sequence of media contents of a moving picture experts group portion of the satellite signal and without altering a quality of the media contents of the moving picture experts group portion. The processor determines whether the media contents include an error and corrects the error in the moving picture experts group portion with error correction data of the satellite signal. The processor encrypts the media contents to produce an encrypted digital moving picture experts group transport stream signal. The processor also sends the encrypted digital moving picture experts group transport stream signal to a modulator.

  • Publication number: 20130230162
Abstract: A computer-readable storage device stores instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform operations including prompting a caller during a call for an order identifier. The order identifier identifies a pending order. The operations also include prompting the caller to provide a reason for the call. The operations further include transferring the call to an automated check order status system in response to receiving an indication that the reason for the call is to obtain an order status associated with the pending order. The operations also include, in response to receiving an indication that the order status is not locatable, automatically transferring the call to a customer service agent.

  • Publication number: 20100098236
Abstract: A method is disclosed that includes receiving a forwarded call. The forwarded call corresponds to a call forwarded from a first redirecting telephone device to a second redirecting telephone device. The forwarded call has an associated data message that includes a calling number of an originating telephone device and a first redirecting number of the first redirecting telephone device. The method also includes selecting a destination voice mailbox. The destination voice mailbox is selected from a plurality of voice mailboxes associated with a user. The destination voice mailbox is selected based on an evaluation of the first redirecting number and a second redirecting number of the second redirecting telephone device.

  • Publication number: 20100098188
Abstract: Systems and methods to mitigate impulse noise are provided. A particular method includes providing a signal from a transmission source to a mitigator. The mitigator checks the signal for complex impulse noise comprising at least a first periodic impulse noise component correlated to a first portion of a sinusoid representing frequency of an alternating current power source associated with the transmission source and a second periodic impulse noise component correlated to a second portion of the sinusoid. The method further includes receiving noise mitigation instructions from the mitigator at the transmission source to compensate for the complex impulse noise.
