  • Patent number: 11520683
Abstract: Systems and methods for delta state tracking for event stream analysis. Events at a device are tracked and stored locally or forwarded to a server. The events collectively form an event stream. When an event of interest occurs, the precise configuration of a device at the time of the event of interest can be determined by applying the event stream in chronological or reverse chronological order to a snapshot of the device's configuration. Thus, the snapshot can be taken at any time. Tracking the deltas to the device's configuration enables the precise configuration at the time of the event of interest to be determined.

  • Patent number: 11363011
Abstract: A mobile secure agent on a wireless device executes one or more authenticated data collection profiles provisioned by a private profile producer. Each data package can only be transmitted to a collector certificated by the same private profile producer. Update profiles are signed and provisioned through a tunnel initiated from the mobile secure agent. A Certificate Authority provides libraries, anchors, and certificates in a key management message module to each mobile secure agent which enables revocation and replacement of certificates. Data stored in this way on a wireless device may only be transmitted in encrypted form to an authenticated destination.

  • Patent number: 11144931
Abstract: In one example, a data package created by a particular wireless mobile device, and comprising metrics collected by the wireless mobile device, is retrieved. The metrics concern performance of the wireless mobile device in a wireless communication network, and are transformed into measures that enable derivation of a key performance indicator concerning the performance of the wireless mobile device. An enriched measure is generated by processing the measures based on correlations of wireless mobile device events in a time sequence, and the enriched measure is transformed into a KPI that is specific to the performance of the wireless mobile device. The KPI of the wireless mobile device is compared to a KPI of the population of wireless mobile devices, and results of the comparison of KPIs serve as a basis to resolve a problem regarding operation of the wireless mobile device.

  • Patent number: 10869270
Abstract: One example of a method of managing battery usage by a wireless mobile communication device includes reading a start time, an end time, and other information, for each of a number of extents, and identifying one or more handovers, using the start time, end time, and other information, wherein the one or more handovers are handover activity. Next, the handover activity is compared to an allowable threshold, and a determination made as to when the number of idle mode handovers exceeds the allowable threshold. Finally, battery usage by the wireless mobile communication device is reduced by taking action to reduce the number of idle mode handovers that occur.

  • Patent number: 10470130
Abstract: A method for operation of a battery consumption analysis server communicatively coupled to a plurality of mobile devices over radio channels to receive packages of data recorded at each mobile device containing application use, and battery charging and discharging events. By receiving independent sets of information from the mobile device wherein independent sets comprise at least one of wireless phone activities and battery use, combining this information in such a way that the battery consumption or over consumption of specific applications are identified, the apparatus and method configures a display to identify the correspondingly bad applications to a user.

  • Patent number: 10080136
Abstract: A mobile secure agent on a wireless device executes co-resident authenticated data collection profiles provisioned by private profile producers. Each wireless device has a MAC address that is transformed into a credibility token which is included in a notification to execute or update a data collection profile. The credibility token may also include attributes of location current or stored data. Each wireless device retains location history data transformed by encryption or by hashing. Data stored in this way may only be transmitted to one destination per profile.

  • Patent number: 10044455
Abstract: In a wireless call between two mobile phones, metrics of conversational latency between the two parties determines a measure of Quality of Service (QoS) for the one or more carriers of real-time transport protocol RTP packets. Packages of metrics are collected at the two terminal devices, each of which may have an independent local clock. A Quality of Service estimation apparatus transforms metric packages into a pair of probability distribution functions for a plurality of real-time transport protocol packets between two endpoints. The offset between the two independent local clocks is determined or eliminated. A key performance indicator is determined for End-to-End RTP stream delay by transforming the timestamps associated with transmission and reception at user equipment hosting a QoS agent.
