  • Patent number: 11881930
Abstract: A method including while receiving a live digital audio stream from one or more remote servers and outputting the live digital audio stream via a speaker of a client device, receiving the updated content schedule from the one or more remote servers, generating and displaying a real-time programming guide user-interface including the updated content schedule and least one content segment component corresponding to at least one of the content segment data in the updated content schedule. The method further includes transmitting a content segment digital audio signal request to the one or more remote servers for a prior portion of the live digital audio stream corresponding to the content segment data; and, in response to receiving the prior portion of the live digital audio stream, ceasing outputting the live digital audio stream and outputting the prior portion of the live digital audio stream corresponding to the content segment data.

  • Publication number: 20240020086
Abstract: A method of navigating a media stream includes streaming a media stream to a user device, wherein the media stream comprises a plurality of media segments, and each media segment of the plurality of media segments corresponds to a non-overlapping portion of the media stream. Additionally, the method includes receiving, from the user device, a request to navigate from a current position in the media stream to a requested position in the media stream. Further, the method includes locating a media segment of the plurality of media segments, wherein the media segment corresponds to the requested position in the media stream. Moreover, the method includes determining an optimal position within the media segment based on one or more waveform criteria. Finally, the method includes streaming the media stream to the user device from the optimal position in the media segment.

  • Patent number: 11812099
Abstract: A method including, at a media content server, receiving a pre-modified live digital audio stream, modifying the pre-modified live digital audio stream to produce a live digital audio stream, at a time-shifted media server, storing the pre-modified live digital audio stream, at an alternative content server, identifying and storing respective alternative content start/stop tags, at a client device, receiving the live digital audio stream, in response to a playback command by a user, transmitting a time-shifted digital audio stream request, in response to the time-shifted digital audio stream request, the time-shifted media server streaming the time-shifted digital audio stream, the client device, identifying an upcoming alternative content period, in response to determining that the upcoming alternative content period is within a pre-determined timing threshold, transmitting an alternative content request, receiving a second alternative content, ceasing to output the time-shifted digital audio stream, and out

  • Patent number: 11743308
Abstract: The method for storing streaming media includes receiving, from a user device, a request to navigate to a requested time of a media stream. The method also includes determining whether a block of media segments that have a time interval that overlaps with the requested time is stored at the server. The method also includes retrieving the block of media segments from long-term memory in accordance with a determination that the block of media segments is not stored at the server. The method also includes traversing the block of media segments that have a time interval that overlaps with the requested time of the media stream to seek and identify a media segment corresponding to the requested time of the media stream. The method also includes streaming a media stream to the user device that begins at the media segment corresponding to the requested time of the media stream.

  • Publication number: 20220159329
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus are described herein for providing an adaptive media traffic management process. The adaptive media traffic management process may be provided to identify available slots in a log, identify unscheduled media information that can be scheduled in the available slots, and determine how to schedule the unscheduled media information to generate a revised (e.g., optimized) log. A computing device may receive a log associated with a media channel from another computing device that is associated with an administrative user. The computing device may identify an available slot. The computing device may automatically assign an unscheduled portion of media information to the available slot. The computing device may generate a revised log that includes the unscheduled portion of media information in the available slot. The computing device may send the revised log to the computing device associated with the administrative user.
