Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a herbal formulation in powdered dosage form, which is useful to enhance the physical endurance or strength in athletes. The disclosure also includes a method of preparation of the formulation, which involves the encapsulation of the natural ingredients in a natural matrix. The formulation comprises Moringa oleifera, Kaempferia parviflora and Punica granatum that are processed to obtain the product in powder form by encapsulation of the natural ingredients in a natural matrix. The formulation increased the nitrate and nitrite levels in serum and saliva in human and is useful to improve the general health of the athletes.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses an anti-inflammatory composition comprising turmeric alcohol extract, beta caryophyllene, 3-o-acetyl-11-keto-beta-boswellic acid, extract obtained from Kaempferia galanga and turmeric water extract. The present disclosure also describes a process of preparing the composition containing these extracts, which mainly involves extracting curcumin alcohol extract from turmeric, extracting gum resin from Boswellia serrata, AKBA is isolated from the extracted gum resin and complexed with phospholipid, beta-caryophyllene is isolated from Piper nigrum by steam distillation and subjected to fractionation for purification, flavonoids rich aqueous extract is extracted from Kaempferia galanga and turmeric water extract powder is obtained from Curcuma longa. The extracts are combined together to form a complete natural matrix, homogenized and subjected to spray drying to obtain a uniform mixture in a powdered form.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a process for preparation of white curcumin from purified curcuminoids. The curcuminoids are obtained by solvent extraction and crystallization of dried turmeric powder. The autoclave is charged with ethyl acetate and the 95% purity curcuminoids mixture is added to and stirred for uniformity at room temperature. 5% (w/w) of 10% palladium carbon is added to the reaction mixture and allowed for hydrogenation in the presence of hydrogen gas at 2 lbps pressure and stirred continuously for 15 hours. Once the reaction is completed, the reaction mixture is filtered and washed with ethyl acetate. The ethyl acetate is distilled off and crude mass is stirred with water to obtain a solid precipitate. Finally, the solid obtained is filtered and dried to pale brown crystals of white curcumin. White curcumin is encapsulated with beta-cyclodextrin, which exhibited increased bioavailability. White curcumin also exhibited anti-oxidant and chemopreventive activities.

Abstract: This invention discloses a curcumin composition for increasing the bioavailability of curcumin, which consists of curcumin mixture and water extract in a ratio of 70:30. The curcumin mixture comprises curcumin dry crystals, volatile oil, fixed oil whereas water extract comprises soluble proteins, dietary fibers and carbohydrates extracted from turmeric. The composition also consists of a natural emulsifier isolated from Quillaja saponaria and lecithin. The composition increases rate of availability of curcumin as the dietary fibers holds the curcumin for long time. The soluble proteins increase the solubility of curcumin in water thus increasing absorption of curcumin in blood and the essential oil increases dispensability. The invention also discloses the method of preparation of the composition.
