  • Patent number: 4195860
Abstract: An offset adapter dimensioned to connect different farm implements in offset relation to a tractor with a three point lift. The adapter is reversible to offset the implement to the right or to the left, and it is constructed to facilitate vertical adjustments of the implement with respect to the terrain. The adapter has a bar depending from which are brackets connectable to first and second hitching points on the implement. The first bracket is rigidly mounted to the bar and is designed to be connected to one of the implement hitching points; and the second bracket may be slidably disposed along the bar, but is capable of rigid attachment at a position on the bar corresponding to the position of a second implement hitching point. Two mountings are also provided for attachment of the bar to a conventional three point lift.

  • Patent number: 4178005
Abstract: A wheel mounting assembly for a towed implement which permits vertical movement of a casterwheel, adjustment of the level of the implement above the terrain and also serves to return the implement to the desired height after vertical displacement thereof. The assembly includes a casterwheel, pivotally mounted in a caster bracket, which bracket is pantographically linked to an anchor bracket mounted on the implement. The pantographic linkage includes a height adjusting arm, one end of which is pivotally mounted to the caster bracket and the other end of which is pivotally mounted to the anchor bracket. The pantographic linkage also includes a control arm disposed beneath the height adjusting arm which is likewise pivotally mounted to the caster bracket and also to the rear of the implement in parallel relation to the height adjusting arm so as to form a pantographic linkage between the implement and the caster bracket.

  • Patent number: 4061195
Abstract: An improved lock and lift mechanism for a foldable implement wherein the implement is provided with a main section and at least one wing pivotally mounted to the main section. The invention embodies mechanisms which permit the raising (folding) and lowering (unfolding) of the wing relative to the main section and further allow the locking and unlocking of the wing to the main section by a single operation, such as activating a fluid pressure cylinder. The lock and lift mechanism allows the wing to be secured in the lowered position without the necessity of maintaining pressure in the mechanism to keep the wing bar in the lowered position as the implement traverses the ground. The lock and lift mechanism employs registering passageways, one of which is provided on the main section transverse to the axis of the section and the other of which is provided on the wing.
