Patents Assigned to Automatic Data Processing, Inc.
  • Patent number: 11727503
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for identifying and generating insights using machine learning and serverless computing systems. When events are detected, data from those events is collected and formatted into predefined formats. That formatted data is then used within an instance, where a machine learning algorithm is executed by a serverless computing system using the data within the instance as input. The result from the machine learning algorithm is an insight into the event and event data, which can be presented to users for interpretation.

  • Patent number: 9779078
Abstract: A system and method for payroll processing. In one embodiment, the system includes a first database, a second database, and a processor operably connected to the first and second databases. The first database contains information about an employer, and the second database contains a PDF template. The processor is operable to create a filable PDF tax form from the PDF template, with the filable PDF tax form including data retrieved from and/or calculated from the first database. The method of the present invention involves the steps of retrieving with the processor a PDF template from the second database and at least one data from the first database, and then producing a filable PDF tax form from the retrieved PDF template and from the retrieved and/or calculate data from the first database.

  • Patent number: 9442628
Abstract: A method can include displaying a user interface on a display of a mobile device. The user interface can include a scrollable payroll data section with multiple selectable fields and a data entry section configured to accept input of payroll data for the multiple fields. The method can further include simultaneously displaying the scrollable payroll data section and the data entry section and, in response to an input, simultaneously scrolling through one or more of the multiple selectable fields of the payroll data section while maintaining the payroll data section in place. A device and computer-readable medium can be configured to implement the method and variations thereof.

  • Publication number: 20060145469
Abstract: A security feature and method for verifying the authenticity of commercial paper. In one embodiment, pearlescent ink is added to a portion of commercial paper stock. A recipient can then tilt the commercial paper stock to view the pearlescent ink mark, design, or spot from different angles, causing the pearlescent ink to appear different colors and verifying the authenticity of the commercial paper. Further, according to another embodiment, thermochromic ink is applied to a portion of commercial paper stock. A recipient can then apply heat to the commercial paper stock in the area of the ink mark, thereby causing the thermochromic ink to disappear or change colors.
