Patents Assigned to Automatisation - Sogemo
  • Patent number: 4240651
Abstract: A device for coupling semi-rigid plastic tubes of a known type in which two ring members are provided, one within the other. The outer ring member is secured in a bore in a part to which the tube is connected. The outer ring member has a plurality of teeth which engage a tube inserted into the ring members. The inner ring member is movable axially to disengage the teeth for uncoupling the tube and part. The device is improved in one aspect by providing two distinct sealing means, each movable with the inner ring member. A first sealing means comprises a projection on the inner surface of the inner ring member which projection penetrates the wall of a tube to be connected. A second sealing means comprises a sealing member, such as an O-ring, mounted on the inner ring member. In another aspect, the teeth are shaped such that they are easily disengageable, without permanent distortion, so that the device is re-usable.

  • Patent number: 4021062
Abstract: A coupling assembly for connecting a conduit or tube to a member, comprising a retaining ring adapted to be fixed in a bore in the said member, a plurality of gripping teeth formed as extensions of the retaining ring and arranged to grip a conduit or tube inserted into the ring, and an unlocking ring fitting between the retaining ring and the conduit or tube and operable, on being pushed from outside, to spread the gripping teeth and thereby release the tube or conduit. The assembly is particularly useful for coupling rigid or semi-rigid plastics tubes to components of hydraulic or pneumatic installations.

  • Patent number: 3968971
Abstract: A fluid-tight packing for relatively moving parts, for example, slide valve parts, comprises an active portion for disposition adjacent a first part of the moving parts with which it is in relative movement and a further or base portion fixed relatively to a second part of the moving parts, the active portion being articulated on the base portion so that when, in operation, the active portion tends to be moved in consequence of relative movement between the moving parts, it moves with respect to the base portion thereby enabling the zone of contact with the first of the moving parts to be changed and enabling lubrication to be re-established, the active portion being of substantially part-circular section and having its center located approximately at the point of articulation between the active and base portions.
