  • Patent number: 6176404
Abstract: A seal covers a longitudinal groove forming a slide on the top of a roof bar which has in cross section, on its face that faces upward, two longitudinal lips projecting substantially toward each other to cover partly a longitudinal cavity of the bar and to define the groove between them. The seal has on each longitudinal lateral edge a conformation of substantially U-shaped cross section complementary to that of the corresponding longitudinal lip in order to interengage with the lip. The seal has two longitudinal cuts on its face facing toward the cavity, between the two longitudinal lateral conformations. The cuts extend from that face to the vicinity of a top surface of the seal to form a longitudinal central tongue between the cuts which is easily separated from the two longitudinal lateral parts of the seal.

  • Patent number: 5657915
Abstract: In a multipurpose object holder for skis, surfboards or the like an elastic device including a horizontal plate and two curved lateral tongues is inserted in a vertical guide fastened to a base. The radius of curvature of one tongue is greater than that of the other tongue, allowing for the definition of lateral transport compartments of different thickness. A further elastic tongue is attached to a mobile clamp. The objects to be transported can also be placed between the plate and the further elastic tongue. In a second version of the object holder the elastic device is fastened to a mobile clamp and has an X-shape cross-section that includes two V-shape lateral reinforcing members such that two ranges of pressure forces are defined.

  • Patent number: 5531367
Abstract: The baggage-holder of the invention includes a frame which has lateral bars made from bent extruded U-section and transverse bars made from hollow tubes. The U-section has a longitudinal slot. Support members are provided which are separate from the members for attachment to the bodywork. The various members and the hollow tubes include immobilizing devices sliding in the slot. This enables fixing of the support members and fixing members anywhere along the lateral parts. The ends of the U-section slide inside the hollow tubes enabling adjustment of the width of the frame. The baggage-holder can also include a hoop mobile about a transverse axis.
