  • Patent number: 11368580
Abstract: Many users have presence information on more than one system. Maintaining such systems may be burdensome and error prone. By automatically parsing an out-of-office message on a first system (e.g., email) for configuring a second system (e.g., telephony) duplicative work may be avoided as one system configures the other system. Accordingly, an out-of-office text message may be automatically parsed to determine attributes (e.g., start/end of absence) and who to contact for certain issues. The email system may then automatically configure a telephony system to provide voice prompts extracted from the email system and the opportunity for a caller to be routed to delegates telephone numbers based on the delegates identified in the email out-of-office message.

  • Patent number: 11363077
Abstract: The technology disclosed herein enables user participation in a communication session using prerecorded messages. In a particular embodiment, a method includes determining a first context of a first prerecorded message from a user. In real-time during a communication session that exchanges user communications between a plurality of participants, the method includes determining a session context of the user communications and determining that the first context corresponds to the session context preceding a first insertion point in the user communications. The method further includes inserting the first prerecorded message into the user communications at the first insertion point.

  • Patent number: 11316979
Abstract: In order to provide effective communications, the individuals engaged in the communication should have appropriately matched language proficiencies. By ensuring that a customer of a contact center is matched with an agent having, or presenting, content of a communication utilizing language proficiency appropriate for the customer, effective communications may be provided. Should an agent deviate and provide communication content having language proficiency that is misaligned with the customer, automatic corrective action may be taken to realign the language proficiency presented to the customer.

  • Patent number: 11303848
Abstract: A live video stream, such as one provided by a participant of a video conference, may comprise images of private information that the participant does not wish to provide. Object images captured by a camera are detected and inventoried along with descriptors of the object image. The descriptors are compared to private image identifiers, which define image attributes and/or categories of images. If a match occurs between at least one descriptor and at least one private image identifier, the object image is considered private and a substitute image is provided in place of the object image in a processed video image. The processed video image is then provided to the video conference. Additionally, conference profiles may categorize objects considered private for a particular type of video conference (e.g., work, friends, family, etc.).

  • Patent number: 11303750
Abstract: A method and system are described that interact with a self-service system on behalf of a customer and without requiring a presence of the customer during the interactions. An illustrative method includes receiving one or more inputs from a customer, where the one or more inputs define a desired action to take on behalf of the customer with the self-service system in the absence of the customer's presence, obtaining contact information for the self-service system, using the contact information to automatically establish a communication session with the self-service system, receiving a prompt from the self-service system, and performing the desired action as a response to the prompt, where the desired action is performed during the communication session on behalf of the customer and in the absence of the customer's presence.

  • Patent number: 11221727
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for creating and editing a visual interlocking block based program in a collaborative communication session. The visual interlocking block based program utilizes a single-page interface divided into an available segments region and a workspace region. Users drag visual program blocks from the available segments region into the workspace region in forming a visual program. The visual program blocks automatically interlock with one another in a pipeline to form an ordered sequence of visual program blocks making up the visual program. Each visual program block includes an icon that defines a specific programming function for a particular type of the visual program block. When arranged in the ordered sequence of the pipeline, the icons of the visual program blocks align to form a hieroglyph that identifies the visual program, a functionality of the visual program, and execution speeds of the visual program.

  • Patent number: 11153353
Abstract: Privacy is often a concern when conducting a voice-based communication over a network. Users who utilize a speakerphone may provide an opportunity for unwelcome third parties to overhear the far-end portion of the call. By establishing a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) media session utilizing signaling comprising a transducer header, a called device may utilize the desired transducer to better facilitate privacy (e.g., headset, handset). If privacy is not requested, the transducer header may indicate any transducer may be used or that use of a speakerphone is permitted. Mid-call changes in the requested privacy may also be accommodated to request transition to or from a more private transducer utilized by the far-end device.

  • Patent number: 11082465
Abstract: Systems, methods, and software to provide intelligent detection and automatic correction of erroneous audio settings in a video conference. Electronic conferences can often be the source of frustration and wasted resources as participants may be forced to contend with extraneous sounds, such as background/ambient noises, or conversations not intended for the conference, provided by an endpoint that should be muted. Similarly, participants may speak with the intention of providing their speech to the conference while their associated endpoint is muted. As a result, the conference may be awkward and lack a productive flow while endpoints are erroneously muted or non-muted. By intelligently processing at least the video portion of a video conference, endpoints/participants may be prompted to mute/unmute or automatically muted/unmuted.
