    Abstract: The present invention relates to a steel band 1 for the manufacturing of doctor blades, coater blades or creping blades comprising a steel composition comprising in percent per weight 1-3% C, 4-10% Cr, 1-8% Mo, 2.5-10% V and the remainder essentially iron and contaminants in normal amounts, wherein the steel band 1 is produced by using a powder metallurgical process. Further, this invention relates to doctor blades, coater blades or creping blades of this steel band, as well as a method for its manufacture.
