Patent number: 7549444Abstract: A frost free faucet having a spigot assembly including a drain conduit, a sleeve assembly including an elongated pipe, and a valve assembly. The valve assembly includes a ½ turn valve, a check valve and optionally a pressure relief mechanism. The ½ turn valve includes a rotatable valve element configured with a water passageway and a stationary valve element with one or through holes. The rotatable valve element is circular-shaped and configured with a water passageway in a semicircular portion. The stationary element is a disc shaped configured with one or more through-holes in a semi-circular portion of the stationary valve element. Upon turning the rotatable valve element 180 degrees in a first direction, the water passageway and the one or more through-holes are aligned to an open position and upon turning the rotatable element 180 degrees in a second direction, the water passageway and the one or more through-holes are misaligned to a closed position.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 2005Date of Patent: June 23, 2009Assignee: B & K Industries, Inc.Inventors: James Li, Peter Berkman

Patent number: 7140390Abstract: A frost free faucet having a spigot assembly including a drain conduit, a sleeve assembly including an elongated pipe, and a valve assembly. The valve assembly including a ¼ turn valve and a check valve. The ¼ turn valve includes a rotatable disc with an inlet and a stationary disc with a through hole. Each disc is formed of a ceramic material, wherein upon turning the rotatable disc 90 degrees in a first direction the inlet and the through-hole align to an open position and upon turning the rotatable disc 90 degrees in a second direction, the inlet and the through-hole misalign to a closed position.Type: GrantFiled: February 2, 2005Date of Patent: November 28, 2006Assignee: B&K Industries, Inc.Inventors: Peter Berkman, Shi James Li

Patent number: 4103794Abstract: A wheel mounted chassis is provided with a pair of spaced and parallel conveyor chains extending longitudinally from the front to the rear of the chassis. A pair of cylindrical bale, pick-up arms are pivoted forwardly of the chassis and are adapted to be engaged with each end of a bale to be picked up. Fluid operator means pivot the arms and the bale through an arc and deposit the bale onto the conveyor chains. The arms then return to the forward position to pick up the next bale. As the arms move rearwardly through an arc, means are operatively connected to the conveyor chains to move the upper runs thereof rearwardly a predetermined amount and stop clutch or ratchet means prevent forward movement of the upper runs of the conveyor chains when the arms move forwardly. The first bale is thus moved rearwardly as the next bale is picked up and deposited and this continues until the chassis is full or enough bales are loaded thereon.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 1976Date of Patent: August 1, 1978Assignee: B & K Industries Ltd.Inventor: Robert Shaw
