  • Patent number: 4106434
Abstract: A painter pad applicator comprises a faceted roller rotatively mounted in brackets that can be removably secured to the side walls of a conventional paint tray so that the roller is positioned transversely in the paint tray well. The roller is buoyant in the paint contained in the paint tray and the brackets are arranged to permit vertical movement of the roller in the tray so that as the paint level changes the roller follows with a selected amount of roller surface area always projecting above the surface of the paint.

  • Patent number: 4016802
Abstract: A battery-operated scribing tool wherein an elongated casing defines a handle with an interior cavity serving as a battery chamber and with an opening at the outboard end leading to the cavity. A pair of spring-biased batteries are in-line receivable in the cavity and are secured in situ by a hollow head or motor housing having a rearward end sleevably received over the forward end of the casing so as to be snugly held relative thereto. A motor is nestably received within the head hollow. A slot in the head side wall allows manual actuation of the outboard free end of a switch bus extendable along the cavity wall and along the wall of the hollow of the head with a biasable extremity extending into the slot. An etching means projects outwardly from the motor and through an opening in the outboard end of the head and may be sleeved through a coupling adjacent the head opening.

  • Patent number: 3938120
Abstract: A talking door sentinel has a housing which is secured to the edge of a door by means of a bracket. The movement of the door away from the door frame upon its being opened, moves a trigger which actuates a battery-operated voice box inside the housing. The voice box then plays one of a number of pre-recorded messages. When the door is subsequently closed, the approaching door frame resets the trigger so that the sentinel will emit another message when the door is next opened.
