Abstract: The proposed installation comprises a plurality of carriages which pass in succession from a product loading station (3) to a product unloading station (15) in succession via an inlet lock (10), a sterilizing tunnel (11), a transfer lock (12), a cooling tunnel (13), and an outlet lock (14). The superheated water of the sterilizing tunnel (11) and the cooling water of the cooling tunnel (13) are maintained at a pressure P1 greater than the pressure that exists inside the packages contained in the carriages during sterilization. The sterilizing tunnel (11) and the cooling tunnel (13) preferably constitute an assembly having an even number of superposed segments, with the carriages being caused to travel along the tunnels by linear magnetic couplers. The installation is adapted to sterilizing products contained in flexible packages.

Abstract: The invention relates to a system for supporting objects inside a rotating drum, particularly in a sterilizer. The drum disposed in the enclosure rotates about the axis XX'. The supporting apparatus includes pressure plates, the displacements of which are controlled by pairs of levers disposed in the lateral parts of the drum, on either side of the stacks of objects. The levers pivot about pins under the action of controlling apparatus which may be actuators.

Abstract: A holder for objects inside a rotating drum, particularly that of a sterilizer. The holder includes a pressure plate which can be brought into position for holding the objects by a motor-driven mechanism. This mechanism has a rod with threaded portions interacting with sleeves. These sleeves control the movement of pairs of link arms which are rigidly fixed to the pressure plate and are in contact with the drum wall.

Abstract: An installation is provided for the wet treatment of textile materials disposed on material-carriers, comprising a tank with means for loading or unloading the material-carriers, a means for causing the treatment fluid to flow through said materials and, possible, a heat exchanger, each material-carrier having a box shaped base with an aperture for connection to an aperture of an adjacent material-carrier, or for connection to a first pipe of said fluid moving means which opens into a treatment volume so as to form a first fluid flow in one direction, the flow of said fluid in the other direction following a path which includes at least a second pipe of said fluid moving means also opening into said volume, this latter being limited laterally by walls extending between the floor and the vault of the tank and said first pipe and at least said second pipe each open into said volume through one or more passages formed in the vicinity of the floor of the tank.

Abstract: A method and installation are provided for the treatment in an appropriate apparatus of bodies of textile material introduced into and/or removed from the apparatus by means of a material carrier on which the bodies are loaded, the treatment such as washing, bleaching, dyeing or similar being carried out with a fluid flowing through the bodies in a circuit flowing in and out of the apparatus by the bottom thereof and established by matching sealing means provided on the carrier and the apparatus.

Abstract: A method and installation for removing water from, drying and/or conditioning fibrous, porous or filament materials. A stream of gaseous fluid is caused to flow through an enclosure, by means of a plurality of flow means, so that it passes through the materials to be treated under reduced pressure and/or with over pressure, from the inside towards the outside of the materials, or vice versa, and a stream of water vapor is caused to pass through said materials so as to accelerate the removal of water at the beginning of drying and/or to rapidly raise the temperature of the treated materials and/or to spray said materials, if desired, during drying.

Abstract: An industrial gas operated liquid heater is provided comprising a tubular hearth or furnace a front end face of which is provided with a gas burner and a heat exchanger in which the liquid to be heated and the combustion fumes flow concurrently, the exchanger forming with said tubular hearth a unitary monobloc assembly so designed that the liquid to be heated forms, a first liquid sheet enclosing substantially the whole of the tubular hearth, except for said front end face receiving the gas burner and, in the exchanger, a plurality of second liquid sheets extending substantially parallel to the longitudinal direction of the tubular hearth and adjacent, in said exchanger, to chambers through which flow the combustion fumes issuing from the tubular hearth.

Abstract: Heat exchange between a fluid and products in sealed containers is effected by the homogeneous repartition at an adjustable flow rate of a liquid in the course of the successive phases of the heat exchange cycle, by streaming at all points of a large and compact batch of the containers along the walls of each of the containers. The fluid circulates continuously over the containers, in the course of successive phases of the heat treatment, after the temperature of said fluid has been readjusted, within a same heat treatment operation, or regulated from one heat treatment operation to the following one. The pressure, or the vacuum, if necessary for the heat treatment, is regulated independently of the temperature. The apparatus for performing this method has a fluid distributing device comprising at least one perforated plate and a number of perforated divider plates.
