  • Patent number: 5018588
Abstract: An anchor drilling implement for producing soil anchors is described, which is provided with a drill carriage and a pivotable and vertically adjustable drilling mount. The drill carriage comprises a caterpillar gear and an implement upper part rotatable by means of a turntable and carrying a support for the mount. The implement upper part also carries a driving cab in the immediate vicinity of the support, so that said cab performs all the support movements and an unrestricted view of the drill hole or shaft is ensured in any position of the mount. The drilling mount is preferably also provided with a tool magazine, which can be controlled from the driving cab.

  • Patent number: 4934978
Abstract: A slitting cutter with at least one drive unit which, by a cutting wheel gear, drives the driven shaft of the cutting wheels equipped with cutting teeth. Although optionally hitherto a clutch has been provided between the driving unit and the actual cutting wheel gear, abrupt blocking of jamming processes on the cutting teeth seriously stressed the cutting wheel gear. This is now inventively prevented in that a rotation-elastic damping member is provided gradually between the driven shaft and the particular cutting wheel.

  • Patent number: 4834197
Abstract: A trench cutter has cutting wheels with radially projecting cutting teeth and is arranged on a bearing bracket. Along the bearing bracket, hinged teeth are arranged on one edge of the cutting wheel hub. The hinged teeth have two arms, one arm serving as a control arm, which engages with a control ledge arranged on the bearing bracket, and the other arm serving as cutting tooth. The control ledge and the control arm form a wedge gear which forces the hinged teeth into a swing-out position in front of the free end of the bearing bracket.

  • Patent number: 4790689
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for producing a support element in the ground are described, a hole being sunk through non-stable ground at least down to the load bearing soil. As a result of a wedge-shaped construction of the drill bit the loosened soil is displaced into the adjacent region of the hole and consequently the area round the hole is compacted. The drill has a circular cylindrical core, which is provided with an outlet opening in the vicinity of the drill bit. Preferably tampable material is filled through the core tube, accompanied by the retraction of the drill. The material is simultaneously tamped with the aid of the drill. The invention has the particular advantage that, in cost effective manner, it is possible to use tampable material from the area immediately surrounding the building site and there is no need for expensive, classified filling material. Tubing of the hole is unnecessary through the use of the core tube.

  • Patent number: 4786212
Abstract: Process and apparatus for consolidating, sealing and stabilizing a predeterminable area in the ground, particularly for making foundations, underpinnings or seals in a building site, by injecting at least one hardening liquid material in a high energy liquid jet into the ground, accompanied by the simultaneous injection of a gaseous material, characterized in that for the injection of the gaseous material, at least one discrete gas jet is formed and injected separately from the liquid jet and is located in the vicinity of the exit port of the liquid jet and guided at a distance from the liquid jet.

  • Patent number: 4718731
Abstract: In a slotted wall milling cutter for excavation work, the milling wheel arranged laterally of a bearing bracket, mounted in rotary manner in the latter and equipped over its circumferential surface with radially projecting milling teeth has at least one milling tooth pivotable at right angles to the circumferential direction. This fixture permits a complete working of the entire milling cross-section.

  • Patent number: 4697947
Abstract: In the case of a plug connection for drilling or boring tubes, rods and worms for earth boring equipment with a male part and a female part, with a radial coupling for torque transfer and with an axial coupling having in the overlap zone of the male and female parts a locking device which can be introduced into an annulus for transferring axial forces, it is provided that the locking device is constructed as a multilink chain, which essentially extends around the entire annulus and which is introduced through the female part into the annulus via a single opening. This device provides a plug connection, which has a very simple construction and after extremely rapid installation is suitable for transferring very high forces.

  • Patent number: 4694915
Abstract: A slotted wall milling cutter for producing a slotted wall in the ground has a drive motor fixed to the cutter frame and a gear means positioned between the drive motor and two cutting wheel gears and which is partly arranged in recesses of a bearing bracket. The cutting wheel gear is constructed as a multistage planetary gear. A particularly high torque is made available on the cutting wheels with this arrangement. In addition, the cutting wheels can be constructed with a very high effective cutting width compared with the total slot width.
