Abstract: A surface cleaning apparatus has a surface cleaning head and an upper portion moveably mounted to the surface cleaning head between a storage position and a floor cleaning position, the upper portion has upper portion laterally extending members. An above floor cleaning wand is removably receivable in air flow communication with the upper portion. The wand has wand laterally extending members, wherein, when the wand is received in air flow communication with the upper portion and the upper portion is in the storage position, the wand has a lower end and an upper end spaced from the lower end along a wand axis and the wand laterally extending members are positioned above the upper portion laterally extending members.
Abstract: A hand vacuum includes a nozzle portion at a front end of the hand vacuum having a dirty air inlet. An air flow passage extends from the dirty air inlet to a clean air outlet in a main body rearward of the nozzle portion. The main body houses a suction motor in the air flow passage. First and second laterally spaced apart opposed arm members extend generally axially between the nozzle portion and the main body, and a volume is positioned between the nozzle portion, the main body and the opposed arm members. An air treatment member assembly comprising an air treatment member is removably positionable in the volume. At least one of a nozzle portion air outlet, an air treatment member assembly air inlet, an air treatment member assembly air outlet and a main body air inlet is axially retractable.
Abstract: A computer system includes memory hardware and at least one processor. The memory hardware stores a credential database and computer-executable instructions. The credential database includes multiple user profiles and multiple credentials. Each credential specifies one or more function privileges for each user profile that has been granted the credential.
Abstract: A system and method for extracting recyclable material from an object. The system has a station for receiving the object, a station that prepares the object's cover for removal, a station that removes the cover from the object, a station that positions the object with the cover removed for loading, and a station that has one or more extraction devices configured to engage the object and remove the recyclable material therefrom and has one or more collection areas for receiving the removed recyclable material.

Abstract: A hand vacuum cleaner has an air treatment chamber, which comprises a stationary portion and an openable portion. The openable portion is moveably mounted by a mount between a closed position in which the air treatment chamber is closed and an open position in which the air treatment chamber is open. The Air treatment chamber has an air outlet comprising a screen and the screen is moveable with the openable portion.
Abstract: A docking station for a robotic surface cleaning apparatus has a momentum separator. The momentum separator has a plurality of walls comprising an upper wall, a lower wall and a first sidewall, wherein the first sidewall extends between the upper and lower walls, and wherein the first sidewall comprises a side screen. A first end wall is spaced from and faces the side screen wherein an up flow chamber is positioned between the first end wall and the side screen.
Abstract: A hand vacuum cleaner has a cyclonic stage comprising an openable front wall provided at the front end of the cyclonic stage. A pre-motor filter is positioned in the air flow passage downstream from the cyclone air outlet and rearward of the cyclone sidewall. The pre-motor filter has a diameter in a direction transverse to the cyclone axis that is larger than a diameter of the cyclone air outlet in the direction transverse to the cyclone axis. The pre-motor filter has an outer perimeter defining a volume and the cyclone axis and the motor axis each extend through a centre of the volume. The cyclone axis is generally parallel to the motor axis. When the openable front wall is opened, the front end of the cyclone stage is opened and has an opening, the opening has a diameter in the direction transverse to the cyclone axis, and the rear end of the cyclonic stage has a diameter that is generally equal to the diameter of the opening.
Abstract: A data movement system is provided for moving data using a data-to-file-to-data movement path. The data movement system includes a source database, a target database, a configuration database, and a data movement server. The data movement is in communication with the source database, the target database, and the configuration database. The processor is configured to receive a configuration record including source details and target details. The processor is also configured to define an extraction query based on the source details and to apply the extraction query to the source database to obtain an extraction load. The processor is further configured to generate a load file based on the extraction load, to define a load script based on the target details, and to apply the load script to the load file to obtain a load query. The processor is also configured to update the target database with the load query.
Abstract: Hydrophobic particles such as coal and hydrophobized mineral fines can be readily separated from hydrophilic impurities by forming agglomerates in water using a hydrophobic liquids such as oil. The agglomerates of hydrophobic particles usually entrap large amounts of water, causing the moisture of the recovered hydrophobic particles to be excessively high. This problem can be overcome by dispersing the hydrophobic agglomerates in a hydrophobic liquid that can be readily recycled. The dispersion can be achieved using specially designed apparatus and methods that can create a turbulence that can help destabilize the agglomerates in a recyclable hydrophobic liquid and facilitate the dispersion.
