  • Publication number: 20140067333
Abstract: Various embodiments pertain to techniques for displaying and interacting with two-dimensional (2-D) drawing views in a three-dimensional (3-D) modeling environment within a computer-aided design (CAD) system. In various embodiments, the application programmable interface (API) of the CAD system is configured to enable 2-D drawing views to be displayed in the CAD system's 3-D modeling environment. The drawing views are assembled and oriented in 3-D space relative to one another and in relation to a 3-D model of the object that they define. In various embodiments, the drawing views can be projected onto surfaces bounding a volume that contains or confines a 3-D model of the object. Those surfaces may be corresponding planar faces of a cube or other polyhedron that contains or confines a 3-D model of the object.

  • Patent number: 6102194
Abstract: A pallet type transfer device utilized to transport parts or components along a conveyor-type assembly line is disclosed. The pallet type transfer device includes a body member having a rear bumper member with a pair of oppositely disposed idler wheels rotatably mounted thereto and having a front bumper member attached to the front surface thereof. The top surface of the rear bumper member is inclined upwardly towards the rear surface of the body member. Parallel, longitudinally extending, spaced-apart complementary grooves are provided on the bottom surface of the body member, each groove having a conveyor belt received therein.

  • Patent number: 4790224
Abstract: A travelling slot cutting machine and method of cutting a workpiece upon the machine in which there are two independently operable and longitudinally aligned, endless conveyor belts, the adjacent ends of which are spaced apart to define a gap through which a cutting medium may be directed. To cut a workpiece supported over the gap, the cutting medium is directed through the gap while the cutting machine, as well as the gap, are moved longitudinally relative to the stationary workpiece. In moving the gap, the conveyors are clamped against movement over their respective supporting rollers. The supporting rollers are then moved in such a fashion that the length of at least one of the conveyor belts is maintained unchanged as the workpiece is transported from the upper run of one of the conveyor belts to the upper run of the other conveyor belts.
