Abstract: A stackable spool cable manager assembly may include a plurality of like cable manager spools. The cable manager spools may include a locking mechanism such that the cable manager spools can be stacked and such that when locked together a cable support arm of each the cable manager spools is offset from the others. A magnet may also be provided, for example, for securing to a bottom one of a stack of cable manager spools such that they can be secured to a metal tray or the like.

Abstract: A fiber optic cross connect system comprising a case defining a tray receiving space and at least one tray slideable in and out of the space between a first closed position, a second intermediate position and a third open or accessible position and a sliding engagement between a sidewall of the case and a side edge of the tray is disclosed. The sliding engagement comprises an elongate link member which is stationary as the tray is moved between the first closed position and the second intermediate position and moves with the tray as the tray is moved between the second intermediate and the third open position and such that the elongate link member does not interfere with fiber optic cables which are interconnecting external devices with devices on the tray. In a particular embodiment the link member is held stationary by a releasable locking mechanism.

Abstract: There is disclosed a fiber optic cassette cabinet assembly comprising a plurality of trays, each tray comprising a flat surface for receiving fiber optic cassettes arranged side by side, a second flat surface positioned in front of the cassettes received on the tray and pivotally mounted about a first axis between the forward ends and a label holder positioned above the second flat surface and pivotally mounted about a second axis between the forward ends. The tray is moveable between one of a retracted position, where the cassettes are completely within the tray receiving space, and an extended position where the cassettes extend at least partially in front of the cabinet opening. In the extended position a forward edge of the second surface is tiltable downwards about the first axis and a forward edge of the transparent label holder is tiltable upwards about the second axis.

Abstract: An assembly for guiding an optic fiber cable comprising a tray configured to move between a first position and a second position and a guide. A first end portion of the guide is configured to move relative to the tray during operation and a second end portion is configured to move with the tray during operation. The guide comprises a bend limiting passage configured to follow a curve shape having a radius that is greater than a predetermined minimum bend radius and such that an optic fiber that is received between the first end portion of the guide and the second end portion of the guide follows the curve shape so as to prevent the optic fiber from becoming snagged on the tray, hindering movement of the tray or becoming overly bent during operation of the assembly.

Abstract: A telescoping cable spool for attaching to a networking equipment and supporting a plurality of fiber optic cables is shown. The spool comprises a fixed part for attachment to a surface adjacent the networking equipment; a spool housing comprising a pair of cable retaining flanges interconnected by a hollow cable support dimensioned to fit in a telescoping arrangement over the fixed part. The spool housing is moveable relative to the fixed part between a first retracted position and a second extended position.

Abstract: A strain relief assembly is disclosed comprising a support for mounting on a tray or the like and an elongate support member to which is rotatably mounted a strain relief member. The strain relief member is secured to the support member by a securing mechanism comprising a shaft which travels within a shaft receiving bore between a secured position, wherein a first shaft end of the shaft presses against a free end of the second portion and thereby preventing rotation of the elongate strain relief member and a released position wherein the shaft is positioned away from the free end of the second portion and such that the elongate strain relief member is rotatable.

Abstract: A tray for providing a plurality of different modular fiber optic cassette configurations may comprise a tray member that may support a plurality of different modular fiber optic cassette configurations in a standard U-space width. The different modular fiber optic cassette configurations may include different sizes of modular fiber optic cassettes. Each of the different sizes of modular fiber optic cassettes may support a fiber optic receptable module that may fit in a standard one width (1W) unit. The plurality of different sizes of modular fiber optic cassettes may include a 2W cassette size that may fit a standard two width (2W) unit (relative to the standard one width, (1W) unit), a 3W cassette size that may fit a standard three width (3W) unit, a 4W cassette size that may fit a standard four width (4W) unit, and/or a 6W cassette size that may fit a standard six width (6W) unit.

Abstract: A reversible fiber optic cassette for mounting with other like cassettes in a rack comprising a cassette receiving tray, the tray comprising a plurality of cassette engaging features on an upper surface is disclosed. The cassette comprises a plurality of optic fiber receptacles arranged along a front thereof, a multifiber receptacle on a back thereof and a plurality of optic fiber segments each between a respective one of the optic fiber receptacles and the multifiber receptacle, a first tray engaging feature extending from the first surface and configured for engaging with one of the cassette engaging features, a second tray engaging feature extending from the second surface and configured for engaging with one of the cassette engaging features; and a release mechanism comprising an actuator for selectively disengaging the tray engaging feature from the engaged one of the cassette engaging features.

Abstract: A space saving wall mount enclosure for receiving a small number of optic fiber cassettes. The enclosure receives a rack which is rotatable about a rack axis between a first closed position wherein the cassettes are held within the enclosure and the enclosure door may be closed and a second open position where the rack is rotatable outwards allowing for the insertion or removal of the cassettes.

Abstract: A support frame configured to provide adapter-less fiber optic connections for fiber optic cables including a connection block configured to be fixedly coupled with a main body. A front wall of the main body includes a surface configured to abut a surface of the connection block, the connection block includes a connection port configured to receive a first fiber optic connector, and the front wall of the main body includes a connection port configured to receive a second fiber optic connector. The connection port of the connection block is configured to be aligned with the connection port of the main body such that the connection block and the main body are configured to optically couple the first fiber optic connector with the second fiber optic connector, and the connection block and the main body are configured to provide an adapter-less fiber optic connection for the first and second fiber optic connectors. The connection block may be a single piece of unitary construction.

Abstract: A flexible cable guide and enclosure is disclosed for guiding one or more optic fiber cables between an outside of the enclosure and a moveable tray inside the enclosure on which devices terminating the one or more cables are mounted. A first end of the cable guide is secured to an outside of the enclosure and a second end is secured to the tray for movement therewith. The flexible cable guide ensures that the optic fiber cables transition smoothly from the outside of the enclosure to the devices.

Abstract: A reversible fiber optic cassette for mounting with other like cassettes in a rack comprising a cassette receiving tray, the tray comprising a plurality of cassette engaging features on an upper surface is disclosed. The cassette comprises N duplex pairs of optic fiber receptacles arranged along a front thereof, a multifiber receptacle on a back thereof and 2*N optic fiber segments each between a respective one of the optic fiber receptacles and the multifiber receptacle, N discrete port identifiers on a first surface thereof and N discrete port identifiers on a second surface opposite the first surface. The first set of N identifiers is the same as the second set of N identifiers and for M between 1 to N, an Mth port identifier of the first set and an (N-M+1)th port identifier of the second set is adjacent an Mth one of the duplex pairs of optic fiber receptacles.
