Abstract: In order to easily convert a lip rolling apparatus to different cup diameters, without involving a change of the phase relation of the roll feeds (1) relative to one another, two roll feed pairs are arranged oppositely, the roll feeds (1) of each pair being arranged at a fixed spacing (D1), individually, relative to one another, and the mutual spacing of the roll feed pairs is variable. The drive gears (10a,b, 11a,b) are adapted to be driven by a common drive belt (12) traveling over at least one deflection sheave (13a,b) arranged so as to be movable along the line of symmetry (40) between the drive gear pairs (10a,b, 11a,b). The drive gears (10a,b, 11a,b) have the same diameter as the deflection sheaves (13a, 13b) on a compensating knuckle (30a, 30b).
Abstract: Described is a heating apparatus which in case of need guarantees nonproblematic access to the objects to be heated, without incurring heat losses. Used in conjunction with lip rolling apparatuses, the heating apparatus features at least two movably arranged heating boxes (1) and (2), which via parallelogram linkages connected in swingable fashion to a stationary support element (13), such that in their inoperative position they are away from the object to be heated and have assumed closed position as well.
Abstract: For the extrusion of extruded profiles with a color pattern or their coating with such a color pattern, a plasticized material of at least two-colors is used, which is separated into at least two partial flows. These partial flows are combined before they exit the extruding head (1), whereby the partial flows are largely maintained. These partial flows can in turn be separated into further partial flows. The extruding head (1) is equipped with a distribution plate (4) in which distribution channels (8a, b) as well as a ring channel (11) are formed as grooves, with the ring channel connected to an the exit channel (38) through a ring slot (19, 20). The plasticized material entering through the ring slot (19, 20) into the exit channel (38) coats the pre-manufactured extruded profile (39) inserted through the guidance part (13) and the die arbor (24).

Abstract: In the course of the process of manufacturing pencils the polymer binding material is at first melted in a lead extruder (19) in order to manufacture the lead. To the melted polymer material is then added via a loading extruder (2) a mixture of additives in powder form such as colors, gliding and adhesive substances. After intensive mixing of the components in the lead extruder (1) a lead profile (13) is extruded which is cooled in a first cooling range (3) to the point where, upon entering the coating nozzle (6), it is not fully plastic anymore but also not completely cold. Through the coating extruder (4) and (5) the appropriate materials are introduced for the formation of the pencil coating. In the course of the subsequent second cooling range (8) the pencil profile is cooled down completely and after passing the withdrawal station (11) it is cut in a sawing station (12).
