Abstract: A method for removing a glazing panel bonded to a frame by an interposed bonding material, the method utilizing a flexible cutting line and has a set up phase resulting in the line being looped around substantially the entire the periphery of the glazing panel with opposed end portions of the line being secured on separate winder spools. In a cut out phase, the line is wound on to one of the winder spools while simultaneously being wound off the other of the winder spools.
Abstract: A container (1) for transportation and/or storage of items is provided with under-slung lifting formations (8, 9) for aiding lifting of the container, rotatable support members (10, 11) upon which the container may be moved, and/or means (17) for securing like containers positioned in side by side relationship to be releasably secured to one another. The invention enables securing together containers in side by side relationship and moving/lifting the containers together between picking or loading locations. Following loading of the containers with at least some material at the distributed picking/loading locations, the containers may be disengaged and separated for onward transportation in separation.
Abstract: A shelter structure arranged to be deployed from a stowed configuration above a vehicle to a deployed configuration, having a number of elongate stays for supporting a flexible awning, the stays being movable to fan out from a stowed configuration to a fanned out configuration when deployed. The structure is provided with a mounting permitting the structure to move with respect to the mounting when deployed to selectively cover alternative sheltered zones in a deployed configuration.
Abstract: A conditioning agent (typically for use in repairing a flaw in a glazing panel) is contained in a sealed container which is itself disposed internally of a flexible outer walled container. Pressure applied to the outer flexible walled container can cause release of the conditioning agent from the internal conditioning agent container. The conditioning agent preparation may comprise a hygroscopic solvent (such as acetone) combined with one or more primer additives to prime the surface of the glazing panel for repair.
Abstract: A glazing panel cut out system for use with a cutting wire in cutting out a vehicle glazing panel cut out procedure has a wire dispenser unit (2) for receiving a spool (4) for dispensing cutting wire the dispenser unit (2) having means for mounting the spool (4) enabling cutting wire to be paid out from the spool. The system also has a winder unit (1) including a spool (4) for winding the cutting wire dispensed from the dispenser unit (2), the winder unit spool (4) enabling the cutting wire to be wound on to the spool (4) during the cut out procedure. The spool (4) is configured to be interchangeably be mounted on both the dispenser unit (2) and the winder unit (1).
Abstract: A winder unit is disclosed for use with a cutting wire in cutting out a vehicle glazing panel. The unit is capable of being mounded to the glazing panel and includes first and second winder spools for winding cutting wire. At least one wire wrap around guide element (typically a pulley) is positioned away from the mounting means. The unit may be used in various techniques either alone or with an auxiliary guide arrangement.
