Abstract: A shelter includes a body having a wall. A stairs and platform system is connected adjacent the wall of the shelter. The stairs and platform system includes a platform and a stair assembly. The platform includes: (i) first and second spaced-apart side rails and a platform floor located between the first and second side rails; and (ii) first and second platform handrail assemblies respectively located on opposite first and second lateral sides of the platform. The stair assembly is connected to the platform to provide access to the platform and is movable relative to the platform from a first operative position in which the stair assembly projects outwardly away from the platform to a second stowed position in which the stair assembly is retracted relative to the platform and at least part of the stair assembly is supported adjacent the platform.

The lift mechanism transitions the enclosure between a stowed state and a deployed state during a movement of the actuator.

Abstract: A wall configured to couple to a shelter and extend around at least a portion of a perimeter of the shelter. The wall includes a first end having a first attachment mechanism configured to engage with a second attachment mechanism of the shelter, a second end opposite the first end, a sidewall extending between the first end and the second end, and a third attachment mechanism coupled proximal to the second end and configured to engage with a fourth attachment mechanism disposed on the shelter to couple the wall to the shelter.

Abstract: A system including a frame and a pair wheel of assemblies to engage with one or more tracks of a structure. The pair of wheel assemblies include a first hub assembly, having a first wheel and a first attachment mechanism to engage with the one or more tracks of the structure, and a second hub assembly having a second wheel and a second attachment mechanism to engage with the one or more tracks of the structure. The system further includes an elongated rod coupling the first hub assembly to the second hub assembly, where a movement of the elongated rod causes the first attachment mechanism and the second attachment mechanism to engage with the one or more tracks of the structure.

Abstract: A wall mounted heat exchanger including a plurality of panels. Individual panels may include a first end, a second end, a first sidewall, a second sidewall, a first gap disposed along the second end, and a second gap disposed along the second sidewall. A first plurality of panels may be arranged such that first ends of the first plurality of panels are co-planar with second ends of a second plurality of panels and first sidewalls of the first plurality of panels are co-planar with second sidewalls of the second plurality of panels. The insert may include a cover having a face plate, a top, a bottom, and tapered sidewalls extending between the top of the cover and the bottom of the cover. Slides of the cover may be configured to operably engage with the channels. In the stowed position the tapered sidewalls of the insert may be separated from the interior frame while in the deployed position the tapered sidewalls may be substantially flush with the interior frame.

The expandable shelters may comprise an air inlet vent disposed in a front of the expandable shelter interconnected to an in-floor air duct arranged to draw outside air below an interior floor and exchange heat with the coolest area of the expandable shelter. By virtue of having an air inlet vent receive outside air from a location substantially away from the mechanical compartment and exchange heat with the coolest area of the expandable shelter, an environmental control unit (ECU), housed in the mechanical compartment, receives relatively cool outside air, keeping air temperatures inside the mechanical compartment below the upper operating limit of the ECU.

Abstract: A collapsible bed system is disclosed that may comprise a first bunk, a second bunk, a first frame member, and second frame member. The collapsible bed system may be moved between a stowed state and a deployed state. The first bunk may comprise a container and a platform, the platform being hingedly connected to the container over a top opening of the container, enclosing a volume within the container. In the deployed state, a mattress may be positioned on top of the platform and in a stowed state, the mattress may be positioned in the enclosed volume. The collapsible bed system may include a foldable drawer configured to be received by a foldable drawer opening arranged on the first bunk.

The solar shade provides cover to an area beyond a footprint of the portable enclosure and does not require attachment to the ground. When attached to a portable enclosure, the solar shade enables unobstructed movement around a perimeter of the portable structure by virtue of not attaching to the ground.

Techniques of complexing the expandable shelters housing displaceable cassettes are also disclosed. The displaceable cassettes may deploy from a stowed position in an interior of the expandable shelter to a use position removeably coupled in an expanded interior portion of a displaceable side of the expandable shelter. In the use position, the cassettes are configured to provide an allocated resource, and provide a hallway between other interconnected expandable shelters.

Abstract: A thermally isolated portable expandable shelter may include a frame substantially similar in configuration to a shipping container and a movable portion comprising a plurality of rigid panels. The shelter may be movable between a stowed state and a fixed state, wherein the plurality of panels is folded into the frame in the stowed state and fold out during deployment. In some embodiments the plurality of panels may comprise structural insulated panels so that an interior defined by the expandable shelter is thermally isolated from an exterior. The portable expandable shelter may have reduced installation time, improved strength in both the stowed and deployed states, and reduced energy requirements.

Abstract: In one example, a portable expandable shelter includes an enclosure with one or more movable portions such as a side or end, and further includes a foldable frame configured and arranged for operation in unison with movement of the movable portion of the enclosure. This example of the portable expandable shelter also includes a cover that encloses at least a portion of a space defined by the movable portion and the foldable frame.
