    Abstract: A locking device is made of a casing having a substantially trapezoidal shape and a rod extending through the casing. The rod has a central portion and two side guides to permit the central portion to come into locking engagement with a toothed roller placed inside toothed triangular recesses of a V-shaped member. The V-shaped member has a top portion provided with a fork. One side of the V-shaped member is connected to an inner edge of the casing and the other side has a cutout with a lower rounded portion and an upper straight portion provided with a slope. The cutout cooperates with a cam comprising a flat portion and a finger.

    Abstract: A vehicle seat is disclosed with built-in safety belt (5). The framework of the seat-back comprises a vertical, laterally located beam (7) which is very resistant to flexional forces and carries the upper anchorage point P of the belt and a lower cross-piece (8) fixed to the base of the beam and sufficiently resistant to prevent transverse inclination of this beam. A strut (10) has its ends mounted for pivoting, respectively, about a transverse axis B linked to the front of the base (1) and about a transverse axis C forming part of the beam. Axis C is disposed at a distance, from the transverse pivoting axis A of the seat-back (4), which is less than 1/6 of the distance separating this axis A from the upper anchorage point P of the belt. The position of axis C about axis A is adjustable.

    Abstract: An adjusting mechanism for the back portion of a seat comprises a fixed circular flange attached to an armature of the sitting portion of the seat. The fixed flange has a cup-shaped recess and cutouts spaced at 120.degree. from one another. Each cutout contains a block with an outer toothing. The blocks are resting on block-pushing members each provided with a finger facing the mobile flange. The block-pushing members rest on a cam with three steps. The fingers of the block-pushing members cooperate with a release ring housed inside the mobile flange and having three projections provided for pushing the block-pushing members toward the center of the adjusting mechanism when the cam is pivoted in a direction for moving the back portion of the seat onto the sitting portion.

A pivoted detent element cooperates with the threaded rod, with two channels extending diametrically through the pivoted detent element.     Abstract: A resilient seat back return device used in two-door vehicles is provided. Between the mobile flange of the articulation and the fixed flange of the same articulation a connection link is pivotally mounted to the sitting portion flange whereby, the connection link is connected by a small helical spring to the module flange of the seat back so that, when the seat back is lowered over the sitting portion, the spring is in an unstressed state while the spring is normally under tension when the seat back occupies an intermediate position and is sufficiently stressed when the seat back is placed in the prolongation of the sitting portion to form a berth, the spring then occupying a position in which it is sufficiently powerful to move up the seat back from the seat. Due to its fixation points a spring of small volume and of short elongation but with a very high pulling force is used.

The sitting portion comprises two trapezoidal wedges (2) complementary to the cases. The oblique edges of the wedges are formed with inclined slots (12, 13) through which the ends of the spring also pass.

    Abstract: A dish is placed in a circular opening about a spindle comprising a central collar. The dish comprises a ball bearing retained by a cage. There is placed inside the dish, concentrically with respect to the spindle, two half-cams separated at the upper ends thereof by an arcuate spiral spring, while the two half cams have lower portions defining a space in which can move a finger rigidly connected to said central spindle containing an articulation control shaft so to form an assembly. The assembly enables, when mounted, passing over hard points by a displacement of the two half-cams one toward the other while compressing the spring under effect of a thrust imparted by the finger of one of the two half-cams. A casing is rigidly connected to the mobile flange for retaining the aforementioned member assembly while a lower and hollow guide rigidly connected to the fixed flange maintains a lower portion of the casing.

    Abstract: A platen is fixed onto an armature of a vehicle door and carries a shaft for rotation of a toothed sector about a first pin. A lower portion of the toothed sector extends in the form of a first toothed half-moon cooperating with a second half-moon mounted on a second pin. The first and second pins support a set of arms and a spindle is rigidly connected to each of the half-moons for driving in rotation each of the arms. The pins have a front face which is inclined and forms an angle with respect to a vertical surface of the platen. The arms are arranged in planes enabling an appropriate guiding in height (lifting and lowering) of a curved glass of the vehicle door.

    Abstract: A seat track assembly is disclosed that comprises a fixed channel member and a sliding channel member disposed on the fixed channel member. The channel members are interfitted with generally U-shaped engagement members. A first ball bearing assembly is disposed at one vertical position between the two channels, and a second disc-shaped bearing is disposed at a lower vertical position between the U-shaped flanges of the two channels. The second bearing provides support in both the vertical and horizontal directions to prevent seizing between the two channels. The second bearing is resilient and acts to prevent seizing of the two channels by providing a resilient force vertically in opposition to the upward force created by the seat back when the seat is unoccupied and also provides resilient forces horizontally to prevent seizing due to twisting of the channels.
