Abstract: An elastic coupling for a torque transmitting joint formed of a pair of diaphragm disks which have a pair of opposed radial contact faces extending essentially at right angles to the axis of the disk and a pair of essentially cylindrical centering faces at the radially innermost terminations of the contact faces is formed with an annular disk-shaped electron beam welding zone which welds the contact faces together and which extends radially from the outermost peripheries of the diaphragm disks inwardly to a point proximate the centering faces.
