  • Patent number: 11548112
Abstract: In a sanding machine for sanding/finishing panels made of wood, metal or the like, an abrasive belt is moved so as to cause it to come into contact with a panel by a plurality of thrust elements, which are distributed inside the abrasive belt, and are moved perpendicularly to the panel by respective actuator cylinders, each of which has an output rod which is moveable between a lowered operating position and a raised rest position under the thrust of a pressurised gas supplied in a continuous manner to an upper chamber of the actuator cylinder and in a selective manner to a lower chamber of the actuator cylinder itself.

  • Publication number: 20220266408
Abstract: In a machine and in a method for processing lateral edges of glass plates, plates of stone material, and plates of synthetic material, there is a group of gripping members of the plate configured to hold a plate in a horizontal position. The plate is caused to advance in a conveying longitudinal direction, in such a way as to bring a lateral edge of the plate to engage in succession an aligned series of grinding tools forming part of a stationary machining unit. In one example, the group of gripping members of the plate is rotatably carried around a vertical axis by a carriage, which is movable in the conveying longitudinal direction and in a transverse direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction. The gripping members are carried by the carriage in such a way as to be adjustable in position, by means of electronically-controlled actuator devices, with respect to the carriage and relative to each other.

  • Patent number: 10449693
Abstract: A numeric-control work center can be used for carrying out cutting operations or grinding and/or milling operations on plates of stone, marble, or, in general, natural or synthetic stone material, or ceramic material. The work center comprises at least one working head movable along at least two mutually orthogonal horizontal axes on a work surface. The work surface includes a rigid supporting board, which defines a first planar supporting surface, and a series of sacrificial elements rigidly connected to the rigid supporting board. The sacrificial elements are arranged in positions spaced apart from each other and define a second supporting surface located at a higher level than the first planar supporting surface, so that a cutting tool coupled to the working head engraves the sacrificial elements, without interfering with the supporting board during a cutting operation on a plate resting on the sacrificial elements, whichever is the path followed by the cutting tool.

  • Patent number: 10343259
Abstract: A water-jet operating head for cutting materials by a high pressure hydro-abrasive jet includes a main portion which is to be carried by an operating machine movably along one or more axes and a focusing nozzle for ejecting the high pressure hydro-abrasive jet, carried by a support removably connected to the main portion of the head. This support also carries a primary nozzle with an orifice having a predetermined diameter arranged upstream of the focusing nozzle. The high pressure water jet is added with an abrasive agent which is fed through at least one connecting element at a mixing chamber interposed between the primary nozzle and the focusing nozzle. The connecting element is associated to the main portion of the head and the nozzle-carrying support is adapted to be slidably received within a cylindrical cavity of a main support forming part of the main portion of the head.

  • Patent number: 9758311
Abstract: A method and device useful for material removal from large plate-shaped materials, for example machining and polishing of glass and stone. The invention includes a workstation having arrays of roller and suction cups which are selectively used to transport and secure a plate positioned in the workstation. An imaging device collects data on a true position of the plate in the workstation and compares the real position to a design or ideal position to determine a difference of position. An electronic control system calculates the difference and modifies the processing program to adjust for the difference eliminating the need to further reposition the plate to the ideal design position for processing.

  • Patent number: 8425280
Abstract: A machine has a head with a nozzle, a pipe for supplying water under pressure to the nozzle, and a duct for supplying an abrasive agent, and adding it to the jet of water under pressure. The duct has a first duct portion, fixed with respect to the head in the movements of rotation about a main axis, and a second duct portion, which is fixed with respect to the movements of rotation. A rotating distributor connects the first rotating portion with the second fixed portion of the duct for supplying the abrasive agent. The distributor's stator and rotor are rotatably mounted on one another without the interposition of seal rings and define between them an internal chamber that is substantially at atmospheric pressure and from which the abrasive agent drops by gravity to a duct outlet that converges into the pipe for supplying water under pressure.
