Abstract: A system for determining the distance, D between an object and a base line B, which is a line between a first camera's and a second camera's centres. The system comprises a first camera, a second camera and a processing system configured to receive data from the first camera and the second camera and to determine the position of an object, wherein the first and second cameras are oriented with their optical axes an angle ? to the base line, wherein ? is substantially non-right angle.
Abstract: A system for detecting flying animals, the system comprising: a detection module configured to detect flying animals; a local processing module associated with the detection module and configured to remove background noise from data gathered by the detection module; an analysis module configured to receive data from the local processing module and process said data to determine presence of flying animals and classify such flying animals by species; and a deterrent configured to repel one or more species of flying animal based on the classification of detected flying animals.
