  • Patent number: 11944459
Abstract: A system including a means for estimating the residual noise level in electrocardiogram (ECG) signals is disclosed. The disclosed system and methods may be used in an electrocardiograph devices. According to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a plurality of electrodes positioned in proximity to a cardiac structure may measure an electrical signal of the cardiac structure to produce the ECG signal. The system may segment the ECG signal into a plurality of segments. For each of the plurality of segments, the linear trend energy and/or direct current (DC) energy may be removed from the segment, and the estimated noise energy of the segment may be calculated. A subset of the plurality of segments with a minimum estimated noise energy may be selected. The residual noise energy of the ECG signal may be estimated by calculating an average of the estimated noise energy over the subset of segments.

  • Patent number: 11937882
Abstract: A registration device, including a wand, a light guide passing through the wand, and a position sensor fixed to the wand. A light source outputs a modulated beam of light into a light guide proximal end, so that the light is emitted from a light guide distal end toward a surface in proximity to a wand distal tip. A detector receives, from the light guide proximal end, light reflected from the surface into the light guide distal end, and outputs a signal indicative of the reflected light intensity. A processor computes a distance from the distal tip of the wand to the surface by extracting a phase difference between the output beam and the reflected light from the signal, and computes a position of the surface in a sensor frame of reference responsively to the computed distance and the location of the distal tip found from the position sensor.

  • Patent number: 11937780
Abstract: A tool, consisting of an enclosure and a rotatable knob retained by, and protruding from, the enclosure. The tool has a tube having a proximal end that is retained by the enclosure, and the tube has an axis of symmetry. A Geneva drive is retained within the enclosure, the Geneva drive consisting of a drive wheel fixedly attached to the rotatable knob and a driven wheel fixedly attached to the proximal end of the tube, so that an axis of rotation of the driven wheel coincides with the axis of symmetry of the tube. Thus, a continuous rotation of the rotatable knob causes the tube to rotate about the axis of symmetry in discrete angular steps.

  • Patent number: 11931527
Abstract: A medical device has a distal member with a configuration that can be changed by means of a control handle with a control assembly employing a rotational cam, a shaft, and a pulley, where the rotational cam is rotationally mounted on a portion of the control handle for rotation by a user. The rotational cam operates on the shaft to move it proximally or distally depending on the direction of rotation which in turn rotates the pulley to draw or release a puller wire to change the configuration of the distal member of the medical device. The shaft is oriented along a diameter of the control handle. The shaft has two ends which extends through two axial guide slots in the portion of the control handle to sit two opposing helical tracks formed on inner surface of the rotational cam. The guide slots are parallel with the longitudinal axis of the control handle and therefore maintain the shaft's diametrical orientation as the rotational cam is rotated to move the shaft proximally or distally.
