Abstract: The invention is related to a subscriber identity module (1-4, 2-2), to user equipment (1-2) comprising a subscriber identity module (1-4, 2-2) and to a communications system that it is adapted to receive location information from said user equipment (1-2). The subscriber identity module (1-4, 2-2) comprises contacts (2-10) for powering the module (1-4, 2-2) from the user equipment (1-2) power supply.
