Abstract: Method of doing pushups employs a pair of pushup devices including at least one retainer for receiving a connection member at an end of an exercise band; an elastic exercise band is connected to a retainer of each push up device with the band over a user's back as a user pushes upwardly on the handle sections of the pushup devices a pushup device also constitutes a part of the invention. The pushup device includes a longitudinally extending passage at the lower end of a body section in which an end section of an elastic exercise band is directed when a pushup in accordance with this invention is being carried out. Preferably the pushup device includes a handle section removable from a body section and usable with one or more elastic exercise bands separately from the body section to provide a variety of different exercises other than pushups.

Abstract: A resistance exercise apparatus is provided, the apparatus comprising: a stretchable cord having opposing first and second ends, the cord having an internal cavity and an external surface; at least one plug being inserted within the internal cavity of the cord adjacent the first end of the cord; at least one sleeve being placed over the external surface of the cord adjacent the first end of the cord, the plug being situated within a length of the sleeve; at least one tether forming two compartments, a first loop compartment is designed to received at least one end of the cord with at least a portion of the sleeve and at least a portion of the plug; and at least one attachment device, at least a portion of the attachment device being designed to be received within at least a portion of the second compartment of the tether.

Abstract: An anchor device for elastic exercise bands mountable on a vertical support member (e.g., a door) and includes a vertically oriented strap member and a plurality of horizontal strap members attached to a front section of the vertically oriented strap member in vertically spaced relationship to each other. At least two, transversely spaced-apart loop members for receiving an elastic exercise band therethrough are attached to at least one of the plurality of horizontal strap members. At least two, transversely spaced-apart ring members are attached to at least one of the plurality of horizontal strap members for receiving one or more elastic exercise bands.

Abstract: A resistance training exercise device includes a stretchable cord having an internal cavity and a governor in the form of a limit band situated within that cavity and including first and second end segments. A retaining member attaches each of the end segments to the cord so as to impart stretching motion to the limit band when the cord is stretched during exercising. The retaining members provided at each end of the limit band each include a cup-shaped outer member and an inner, member having an outer peripheral surface. Each end segment of the limit band is positioned through an opening in the cup-shaped outer member and is secured to the inner member.

Abstract: A resistance training exercise device, system and method having at least one elastic, elongated and hollow cord with a tether secured to each end of the cord and a limit band in the 3 cord to limit the length that the cord may be stretched.
