The inner wedge has a wedge base defining a wedge channel, wherein the shell channel aligns with the wedge channel in the second position to form a containment structure to house a cable therein. The containment structure includes a length dimension and a width dimension, wherein the length dimension is greater than the width dimension and the length dimension extends in a same direction as the shell base of the outer shell.

The drop wire clamps comprising a shell with a base portion having a first end and a second end with a longitudinal axis therebetween and opposing side walls extending from the base portion along edges thereof to define a channel therebetween. The side walls are angled with respect to each other and separated by a first distance proximate the first end and a second distance proximate the second end, the second distance smaller than the first distance. The drop wire clamps further include opposing slide wedges disposed within the channel and moveable between a first position and a second position. The side walls bias the slide wedges towards a center of the channel as the slide wedges move from the first position to the second position. Method of securing cable in drop wire clamps also provided.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a system of manually linked fastening clips for electrical cables. The manually linked clips are preferably linked to one another by way of a tongue-and-groove joint. Since the clips of the present invention are manually linkable via the tongue-and-groove joint, an installer may manually link electrical cable fasteners into numbered groupings of the installer's own choosing. The tongue-and-groove joint of the clips permits the installer to easily separate linked clips from one another by simply rotating one linked clip with respect to the other. This rotating action quickly and effortlessly disengages the tongue portion of one linked fastener from the corresponding groove portion of the other linked fastener, thereby facilitating the installation of electrical cable. The manually linked clips may be inserted into a clip dispensing sleeve to provide the installer with a continuous feed of cable fastening clips during installation.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a system for coupling a coaxial cable with a power ground wire in which a coaxial splice is attached directly to a common service power ground wire via a connector. The direct attachment creates a bonding point that prevents electricity on the drops from entering a building via interior wiring. The connector attaches on one end to a common utility service ground wire. The connector further connects two ends of coaxial drop cable such that the cable is spliced at the point of the connector. This dual bonding results in decreased installation costs due to diminished need for additional ground wire. The dual bonding provides a further advantage in that it reduces the differential in electrical potentials between the power utility and cable television systems. This results in a more direct path to ground and superior electrical characteristics.
