Abstract: An electrically heatable transparent panel (1) comprises spaced electrically conductive bus strips (2, 3) interconnected by electrically conductive heating means (4) deposited on a substrate (5) of glazing material. To reduce the visual obtrusiveness of the heating means (4) as compared with linear heating elements as conventionally used in heatable rear windows or motor vehicles, and for other purposes, the heating means comprises electrically conductive enamel deposited meshwise on the substrate, the interstices of the mesh having a maximum dimension of 10 mm or less, and substantially no individual line of mesh has a width greater than 0.5 mm.
Abstract: A window-pane (2) such as an automobile windshield or rear window to be fixed on a rigid frame is provided at its periphery with a bead (5) of thermoplastic material. The device (1) for fixing the window-pane comprises a sectional strip (9) of plastic material to which is secured a resistance-type heating element (10) of resilient metal having a substantially U-shaped cross-section. One wing of the heating element (10) is secured to the sectional strip (9) and the other wing (19b) is free with respect to the strip so as to form therewith a clip which is capable of resilient engagement on the wall (8) of the rigid frame (3).

Abstract: A tactile screen for determining the coordinates of a point on a surface is formed by a support of glass, for example, which carries relatively spaced conductive strips made up of emitting and receiving strips in interjacent relation. The screen is intended to be touched by an object such as a user's finger in order to establish an electrical bridge between an emitting strip and a receiving strip. The conductive strips are converted with a membrane for providing the conductive strips with mechanical and electrical protection, the surface of the membrane which is adjacent to the conductive strips being conductive. The electrical resistance per unit area of the conductive surface is distinctly higher than that of the conductive strips when the membrane is not touched.
Abstract: A screen is disclosed on the surface of which a certain number of resistant conducting emitter strips and insulated conducting receiver strips are laid, the emitter strips being parallel-mounted with the terminals of a voltage generator and the receiver strips being interlaid between the receiver strips such that a conducting receiver strip lies between two resistant emitter strips. The electronics of control comprises an exploring stage to control the receiver strip time-related exploration. Thus, when a sufficiently conducting object used to indicate a point, has touched the surface and bridges an emitter strip and a receiver strip, a higher potential is detected on the corresponding receiver strip and the ordinate Y is given by the strip order number--while the abscissa X is calculated from measuring the potential between each ends of the emitter strip and the object.

Abstract: The device for handling articles in the form of sheets such as windshields comprises a floor of trapezoidal shape for receiving a stack of sheets, a bearing member and two side-panels which are outwardly divergent from a rear framework. Empty containers can therefore form a nested assembly for return transportation. In order to facilitate nesting, the metallic lining plates of the side-panels are upwardly divergent. A recess is formed in the floor in order to house the bearing member of the empty container to be nested therein.
