Patent number: 7281356Abstract: A support module interconnects with other support modules to support a number of core elements for encapsulation within a concrete structure. The module has a planar frame defining first and second cutouts. Each cutout has an arc shape so that when modules are assembled, the cutouts of different modules define a circular aperture for closely receiving one of the core elements. Each cutout has a first peripheral arc portion and a concentric second arc portion larger than the first portion. The first portion provides an aperture of a first diameter, and upon removal of the first portion, the second portion provides an aperture of a larger second diameter. The frame having connection elements that to connect with other support modules to securely receive the core elements. The module may include a separately formed arcuate insert fastened to the cutout to provide a smaller aperture.Type: GrantFiled: March 5, 2004Date of Patent: October 16, 2007Assignee: Bowco Industries, Inc.Inventors: Jeff Sanftleben, Douglas E. Bowen

Patent number: 6715247Abstract: A support module for interconnecting to like support modules serves to support a number of core elements for encapsulation within a concrete structure. The module has a planar frame defining a first cutout and a second cutout. Each cutout has an arc shape, such that the cutouts from different modules define a circular aperture for closely receiving one of the core elements. The frame has extending portions with connection elements that connect with other support modules to securely receive the core elements. The extending portions are located about the periphery of the frame so that they are able to connect to other support modules in four orthogonal directions.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 2002Date of Patent: April 6, 2004Assignee: Bowco Industries Inc.Inventors: Jeff Sanftleben, Douglas E. Patent number: 6688049Abstract: A pulling iron facility for encapsulation in a concrete structure has an elongated strength member with an intermediate portion forming an upwardly extending loop. The strength member has opposed end portions extending laterally away from the loop. A sleeve at least in part encapsulates the strength remember, and includes a planar flange below at least a portion of the loop and defining an enclosed loop aperture. The sleeve includes a number of protrusions spaced apart from the flange.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 2002Date of Patent: February 10, 2004Assignee: Bowco Industries Inc.Inventors: Jeff Sanftleben, Doug Bowen

Publication number: 20030140576Abstract: A lifting facility for encapsulation in a concrete wall includes a bowl element forming a cavity and having a rim occupying a rim plane. The bowl element has a side wall defining an elongated aperture, which includes a pair of spaced-apart openings connected by a slit. An articulated bar having a constant cross section has a loop portion within the cavity, and intermediate portions occupying the openings.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 8, 2002Publication date: July 31, 2003Applicant: Bowco Industries Inc.Inventor: Jeff Sanftleben

Patent number: 6231762Abstract: A wastewater filtration system with a housing provided by a cylindrical conduit forming a filter chamber and having an inlet end and an outlet. A shutoff valve assembly is connected to an inlet end of the housing, and includes a closure element movable between an open position and a closed position. The closure element is biased to the closed position in the absence of a filter in the chamber and positioned near the inlet such that the shutoff valve opens when a filter is installed. The closure element may be hinged to the housing, and may be counterweighted or spring biased to the closed position.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 2000Date of Patent: May 15, 2001Assignee: Bowco Industries Inc.Inventor: J.
