Abstract: A composite material comprising molybdenum carbide, graphite and carbon fibers combines a very high thermal conductivity with a low coefficient of thermal extension, high service temperature, good mechanical properties and high electrical conductivity. These materials may be obtained from high-temperature sintering of variable proportions of molybdenum powders and ceramic materials such as graphite, carbon fibers, silicon, silicon carbide, or tungsten.
