Abstract: A liquid treatment cartridge includes a housing, the housing including a housing part forming an axial end of the housing and including a connecting head at the axial end of the housing. The connecting head includes at least three liquid ports, each at an end of a respective channel defined by the housing part. The connecting head is configured for insertion into a head part of a liquid treatment system such that the liquid ports of the connecting head are in sealed liquid communication with respective liquid ports in the head part. The liquid treatment cartridge includes at least one separate flow conductor part on the inside of the housing, attached to the housing part and including at least one conduit for conducting liquid so as to separate interior ends of at least two of the channels from those of at least one other of the channels.
Abstract: A device for forming a liquid treatment apparatus includes a main part; and a receiving part including a cavity for receiving a connecting head of a replaceable liquid treatment cartridge having at least one port in liquid communication with an interior of the liquid treatment cartridge such that the at least one port(s) of the connecting head are in sealed liquid communication with corresponding ports of the receiving part. The receiving part is journalled for movement between a first and a second position with respect to the main part whilst the connecting head is inserted in the cavity. The head is insertable into and retractable from the cavity in the first position. The liquid treatment cartridge is lockable to the device by at least moving the receiving part with the inserted connecting head into the second position.
Abstract: A device for forming at least part of a head part of a liquid treatment apparatus is arranged to receive a connecting head of a replaceable liquid treatment cartridge and includes at least one ratio-setting valve. The ratio-setting valve is provided with at least two first ports, each placeable in essentially sealed liquid communication with respective cartridge ports of a connecting head of a replaceable liquid treatment cartridge inserted into the device, and with at least one second port. The ratio-setting valve includes at least one movable regulating part for setting a volumetric flow rate ratio between a first flow of liquid between a first of the first ports and the at least one second port and a second flow of liquid between a second of the first ports and the at least one second port at any of a plurality of values.
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a cartridge for a fluid treatment system, wherein the cartridge includes a housing defining at least one chamber for a fluid treatment medium, includes providing a cartridge housing part including at least one wall defining at least one opening closable by a filter element. The filter element includes a porous body for at least mechanically filtering fluid flowing into the filter element through at least one first surface area of the filter element, through the porous body and out through at least one second surface area of the filter element. The filter element includes a rim, covering at least a peripheral face of the porous body so as to frame the first and second surface areas. The filter element is combined with the cartridge housing part so as to close at least one of the at least one openings by bonding the rim to the cartridge housing part.
