  • Patent number: 8354851
Abstract: An apparatus and production method for a watertight capacitive sensor unit is provided. Accordingly, a carrier, approximately U-shaped in cross section, is made from a water-impermeable material. At least one electrode strip is placed in an interior space of the carrier along the longitudinal extension of the carrier. The interior space is filled with a hardening filler material in such a way that the electrode strip is sealed outwardly watertight.

  • Publication number: 20120260499
Abstract: A mounting method for a circuit board. The circuit board is formed with pilot holes that are placed onto pilot pins of a tool such that the pilot pins protrude through and beyond the circuit board. Then the tool is displaced toward a circuit board holder of the housing whereupon the pilot pins engage with a form fit in corresponding centering holes of the circuit board holder. After fixing the circuit board in the housing, the tool is withdrawn by detaching the pilot pins from the pilot holes, the circuit board remaining in the circuit board holder. The tool has an upper plate with associated pilot pins and a lower plate with a housing holder for positioning the housing. The circuit board, with the pilot pins engaging the pilot holes, is displaced by moving the upper plate toward the lower plate.

  • Patent number: 8228077
Abstract: An Anti-pinch sensor, in particular for detecting an obstacle in the path of an actuator of a motor vehicle is provided. The anti-pinch sensor includes a first measurement electrode and a second electrically isolated measurement electrode spaced a distance from the first measurement electrode, wherein the first measurement electrode is designed to generate an external electric field with respect to the second measurement electrode, and wherein the first and second measurement electrodes are elastically supported relative to an electrically isolated ground electrode. In addition, a sensor device having such an anti-pinch sensor is disclosed. The anti-pinch sensor is suitable as both a contactless and a tactile sensor. Detection of surface deposits of contaminants or water is easily possible.

  • Patent number: 8212513
Abstract: a method and a device for detecting the rotation of a brush-operated d.c. motor comprising a number of winding branches which are electrically connected between brushes, during the operation of the motor, by means of plates, according to the rotational angle. According to the invention, an alternating voltage signal is modulated on the basis of a supply direct voltage for the brushes, by which means the course of the complex resistance of the direct current motor is determined and used for the detection of rotation. In this way, the invention enables a cost-effective rotation detection that can be used in motor vehicle technology without requiring additional mechanical components.

  • Patent number: 8201883
Abstract: An adjusting device for a headrest of a motor vehicle seat is specified. The adjusting device comprises, in a first variant, a capacitive proximity sensor integrated into or designed for integration into the headrest having at least three transmitting electrodes spaced apart vertically from one another and having a common receiving electrode. In a second variant of the adjusting device, the proximity sensor has at least three receiving electrodes spaced apart vertically from one another and has a common transmitting electrode. In both variants, the adjusting device also has an actuating drive for motorized vertical adjustment of the headrest relative to the vehicle seat, as well as a control unit.

  • Publication number: 20110314737
Abstract: An electric window lifter of a vehicle with a vehicle door having a frameless window is actuated according to a novel, low-wear actuation method. An entry signal is acquired that allows a conclusion to be drawn about whether a person has entered through this vehicle door. In this case, the window pane that is associated with the window of this given vehicle door is lowered by a short stroke by way of the window lifter in response to a central exit signal only when the entry signal was first identified. The window lifter or power window assembly includes an associated actuation unit with a query module that is configured for automatically carrying out the method.
