Patent number: 4368102Abstract: A method of and apparatus for regulating the pulp density above the moving screen of a machine which forms a continuous web from a fibrous suspension is disclosed. In its method aspects, the present invention discloses introducing water into the suspension located above the moving screen while also controlling the rate of flow and quantity of the water passing through the screen. In its apparatus aspects, the present invention discloses at least one plate arranged between the screen and a suspension containing chamber located beneath said screen, which plate includes water discharge openings on the side facing the chamber, at least one water support line communicating with the opposite side of the chamber and means for regulating the water discharge of the water supply into the chamber.Type: GrantFiled: November 19, 1980Date of Patent: January 11, 1983Assignee: Bruderhaus Maschinen GmbHInventors: Ernst Schoffmann, Alexander Czernuch

Patent number: 4356745Abstract: A synchronous rotary cross cutter for cutting a material web of paper or the like has two drums which synchronously rotate about parallel axes at opposite sides of the material web, and a cutting element on each drum. One of the cutting elements is elastically yieldable, and the drum for this cutting element has a helical bearing surface with an axis lying on the cutting edge of the elastically yieldable cutting element. The helical surface of the drum has such an inclination that the free angles of the elastically yieldable cutting element at the beginning and at the end of the cutting line are identical.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 1980Date of Patent: November 2, 1982Assignees: Dr. Otto C. Patent number: 4211165Abstract: Apparatus for the compressive handling of a strip of material, especially for handling paper strip in a paper machine, includes a plurality of cooperating horizontal and vertical roller pairs arranged in ascending and/or descending step-like succession and forming compressive zones through which the strip of material passes. Certain rollers are movably mounted so that they may be pivoted away from the compressive zone for replacement during operation of the paper machine. Cable guides are provided for leading the strip through the compressive zones and, owing to the movable mounting arrangement of the rollers, the course of the cable guides through the compressive zones need not be altered when a roller is exchanged.Type: GrantFiled: November 13, 1978Date of Patent: July 8, 1980Assignee: Bruderhaus Maschinen GmbHInventor: Gottlob Schill

Patent number: 4198005Abstract: A cutting mill is disclosed which comprises a housing formed of upper and lower pivotally related housing parts in which a rotor carrying cutting tools is disposed along a horizontal axis. Stator cutting tools are mounted within the housing for coaction with the rotor cutting tools and a sieve is removably mounted in the lower housing part. The rotor is mounted in bearings which are selectively carried by the upper housing part or the lower housing part when such parts are pivoted relative to each other to permit (1) replacement of the sieve when the rotor with its bearings are carried by the upper housing part or (2) accessibility for adjustment of the stator cutting tools in the upper housing part when the rotor and bearings are retained in the lower housing part.Type: GrantFiled: June 24, 1977Date of Patent: April 15, 1980Assignee: Bruderhaus Maschinen GmbHInventor: Peter Eiff

Patent number: 4073444Abstract: A cutting mill for comminuting or fragmenting solid material and separating the same according to particle size is disclosed. The cutting mill comprises a housing having an upper pivotable part and a lower part, a bladed rotor rotatably mounted in the upper part and stator blades mounted in the upper part for cooperation with the rotor blades. The lower part has an opening covered by an easily replaceable sieve through with particles of a predetermined size are discharged. The particle size is determined by the spacing between the sieve and rotor blades, which spacing is determined by spacing elements mounted concentrically of the rotor at the ends thereof. The spacing elements are also provided with surfaces for setting a predetermined spacing between the rotor and stator blades.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 1976Date of Patent: February 14, 1978Assignee: Bruderhaus Maschinen GmbHInventor: Jarmil Pav

Patent number: 4053419Abstract: This disclosure relates to a band filter press for separating liquid and solid matter comprising a continuous filter band adapted to receive a mixture of liquid and solid matter and convey it through successive loading, pressing and unloading zones. The filter band is in the form of a hose having a bottom center strip and two cover strips fixedly connected to the edges of the bottom strip and partially covering the same. The cover strips, which may be either integrally formed with the center strip or provided in the form of separate strips which are connected to the center strip at its lateral edges, enclose acute angles with the center strip. The lateral extremities of the connection points between the cover strips and the center strip define finite longitudinally-extending edges by means of which lateral movement of the filter band may be determined and controlled.Type: GrantFiled: November 2, 1976Date of Patent: October 11, 1977Assignee: Firma Bruderhaus Maschinen GmbHInventor: Jarmil Pav
