Abstract: An optical device is provided for projecting a light beam. The device comprises a first planar reflector movable about a first axis is disposed in a path of a focused light beam for deflecting the incident light beam; a concave reflective surface fixed in position located in the path of the deflected light beam, has a circular shape extending along at least one of its axis and is spaced apart from the planar reflector by a distance which is approximately equal to the radius of that circular shape; and a second planar reflector moveable about a second axis located in a plane substantially vertical to a plane comprising the first axis and wherein the second planar reflector is positioned in the path of the light reflected by the concave reflective surface such that the light beam is projected onto a target plane with a substantially flat field of focus.

Abstract: A MEMS apparatus is provided for scanning an optical beam which comprises: a. at least one mirror operative to perform am oscillation motion to a pre-defined rotation angle around a mirror rotation axis; b. a sound sensing means; and c. a conversion means operative to convert sound vibrations detected by the sound sensing means into one or more electrical signals, and wherein the sound sensing means is located at the vicinity of the at least one mirror whereby the movement of the at least one mirror sensed by the sound sensing means and converted by the conversion means into the one or more electrical signals characterizing the oscillating motion of the at least one mirror.

Abstract: A toy assembly is provided which comprises: a housing; a processor operative to retrieve display items and forward images comprised in the display items for projection by an optical projecting device; and an optical projecting device adapted for projecting a light beam onto a target plane, thereby projecting the images onto the target plane.
