Abstract: A partially lined disc brake of a compact and simple design with a brake capacity variable over a wide range and characterized by braking reliability of a high order is suitable for use both with a single brake caliper and with a double brake caliper. The partially lined disc brake is characterized by virtue of the use of a single release unit only, offset outwards in the brake disc plane, by a simple, trouble free drive for closing and opening the brake calipers, and a reliable brake-lining wear-compensation device.
