  • Patent number: 9869350
Abstract: A device and approach to ensure acceptable alignment of internal mechanical components requiring bushings. Over wide ranges of temperature, some bushings experience sufficient thermal dimensional change as to misalign or to interfere with other mechanical components. Such bushings may be reduced in size or include a plurality of outer surfaces to avoid interference, and employ ball nose assemblies to maintain acceptable alignment. At full thermal expansion of such a bushing, the ball nose assembly inter-relates with the bushing so as to maintain alignment without interference.

  • Patent number: 9856993
Abstract: A valve device includes a valve having an electrodynamic actuator. The electrodynamic actuator includes a movably mounted control element having a coil and a magnet arrangement immovable relative to the coil. A driving force caused by energization of the coil and transmitted to the control element substantially is linearly dependent on the current intensity. A front-end electronic unit is connected with the coil and includes a capacitor connected in parallel to the coil. A method for controlling a valve as mentioned above provides that, upon actuation of the electrodynamic actuator, during energization of the coil by a voltage source, a capacitor connected in parallel to the coil is charged. After termination of the energization by the voltage source, the coil is energized further by a discharge of the capacitor.

  • Patent number: 9720423
Abstract: A method and a device for open-loop or closed-loop control of a process uses an actuator, a position sensor, a process valve, a process sensor, and a tuning stage. n positions of the process valve are approached, and the associated actual position values are detected. The respective actual process values are detected for each corresponding actual position value to thus obtain value pairs of actual position values and actual process values. Correction values are calculated based on the identified value pairs, and position set values corrected with the correction values are determined to compensate for nonlinearities of the process, such that a linear overall behavior is achieved.
