Abstract: A solid drawing material containing a gel-forming substance of an alkali metal salt or an ammonium salt of an aliphatic carboxylic acid having 8 to 36 carbon atoms, an alkoxylated nitrogen-containing compound, a reduced starch saccharide, and a coloring agent. The solid drawing material which is in the form of a stick features a large strength, a small drawing resistance, is less subject to be collapsed or broken, produces little shavings while drawing, makes it possible to favorably form a drawing even on smooth surfaces such as windowpanes, and of which the traces after drawn can be easily wiped out with a wet cloth.

Abstract: A multi-color crayon or oil pastel which features excellent drawing property, vividness of color and intimate adhesion of multi-color picture in combination, and a method of preparing the same. The multi-color crayon or oil pastel comprises a continuous matrix of a crayon or oil pastel material and a plurality of kinds of granular coloring phases dispersed in the matrix, the granular coloring phases being formed of a collapsible granular material which includes a coloring matter of a hue different from that of the continuous matrix, a body, and a water-soluble or solvent-soluble high molecular material or a water-swelling clay mineral (e.g., bentonite).

Abstract: A solid glitter marker comprising a gel-forming material that contains (A) at least one kind of gelling agent selected from the group consisting of a dibenzylidene sorbitol, derivatives thereof, tribenzylidene sorbitol and derivatives thereof, (B) water, (C) a water-miscible organic solvent, (D) a high0molecular adhesive and (E) a glitter, the gel-forming material having a bending strength under JIS S-6026 of 160 to 700 g and a crushing strength which is not larger than 10 times as large as the bending strength.

A stick-shaped solid adhesive product made from the solid adhesive has a unique combination of shape-maintainability, bending strength, and crush strength.

Abstract: A solid painting material comprises an aliphatic carboxylic acid salt having 8 to 36 carbon atoms as a gel-forming substance, 1 to 40% by weight of a coloring agent, a nonionic surfactant and 0 to 40% by weight of water. The painting material may further comprise a glycolic solvent or may substantially free of water. The painting material can prevent, to the utmost, the deterioration of the quality, while maintaining its painting and fixing properties and softness of a gel as a constituent thereof.

Abstract: A solid painting material comprises an alkali metal or ammonium salt of an aliphatic carboxylic acid having 8 to 36 carbon atoms as a gel-forming agent, 1 to 70% by weight of a coloring agent, 1 to 20% by weight of hydrophobic silica and 0.1 to 30% by weight of a water-soluble resin, wherein the amounts are based on the total weight of the solid painting material. The solid painting material has good painting properties and fixing ability as well as painting properties in overlap-painting. Further, if the solid painting material comprises a white pigment as a coloring agent, it can be used as a correcting agent as well.
