Abstract: A one man cart for carrying articles of merchandise having a main horizontal frame having auxiliary wheels at the forward end thereof, a pair of rear legs pivoted from the front of said main frame and inclined downwardly and rearwardly, a toggle brace pivoted to the rear of said main frame and inclined downwardly and forwardly and pivoted to said rear legs, front legs pivoted to the front of said frame and extending substantially vertically downwardly. A mechanism is provided to lock and unlock said front legs so that they may be pivoted rearwardly for operations such as moving the cart up and down stairs while holding the cart by an extension of the rear legs at the front of the cart. The toggle braces for the rear legs are pivotal to unlock the rear legs.

Abstract: A cart having a frame, four depending legs adapted to swing rearwardly to a collapsed position, releasable means bracing said legs, an operator for actuating said releasable means, a platform mounted on said frame adapted to move between an extended and a retracted position, auxiliary wheels on the forward end of said platform, and a lock for maintaining said platform in either of its positions.
Abstract: A cart having a bed with auxiliary wheels on the front end, front and rear legs depending from the bed and pivotally mounted to the bed, means for shifting the front legs to elevate the front of the cart so that it can be thrust into an ambulance with a high deck with the auxiliary wheels rolling on the deck and the front and rear legs swinging rearwardly to a collapsed condition. The front legs are also adapted to swing in the forward direction while the rear legs swing rearwardly in order to change the level of the cart when it is in a horizontal attitude.
Abstract: An ambulance cart having a bed from which four legs depend. The legs are adapted to swing away from each other to lower the level of the cart. An extensible frame is mounted at the lower ends of the legs, and casters adapted to swivel about vertical axes are attached to the frame so that as the legs are spread apart the frame enables the casters to maintain the vertical orientation of their swivel axes. Both forward and rearward legs are also adapted to swing rearwardly to enable the cart to be thrust into a vehicle.
