Abstract: A multiple-display device includes at least three body members disposed in juxtaposition. At least two of the body members are movable between first and second positions. Each body member has a display-In the first position at least two of the displays are hidden and in the second position all of the displays are visible. The displays are electronic displays indicating time, date or temperature.

Abstract: A dispenser for magnetic objects includes a base having a curved rack. A barrel is attached to the base and has an opening with a magnet adjacent to it for retaining paperclips or other magnetic objects in an easy-access position. The barrel is mounted on a pivot arm and has a pinion attached to its side that co-operates with the rack upon pivotal movement of the pivot arm relative to the base so that the barrel rotates to an inverted orientation. The invention is particularly useful when the barrel becomes almost empty of paperclips. Pivotal inversion of the barrel allows remaining clips to fall toward the opening to be retained by the magnet.

Abstract: A stationery holder comprises a body, a limb attached movably to and extending from the body, a spring interposed between the body and the limb and biasing the limb to move with respect to the body, a stationery receiver at or near a distal end of the limb, and a release mechanism for allowing the spring to move the limb with respect to the body.

Abstract: An image display device includes a base. A proximal panel is connected to the base by a spring-loaded hinge and has an image display area. A distal panel is connected directly or indirectly to the proximal panel via a spring-loaded hinge and also has an image display area. A catch co-operates with the base and the distal panel to release the proximal and distal panels from a storage configuration alongside the base to be moved by action of the spring-loaded hinges to a display configuration.

Abstract: An adhesive tape dispenser has a lower compartment 10 with a bottom aperture 12 and a cutting blade 13 at one side of the aperture. Tape is dispensed through the aperture 12 and chosen length severed by the blade 13. The figure shows the situation where an end of a desired length is about to be severed by continuing to move the dispenser to the right. During dispensing, a pressure roller 18, mounted adjacent the aperture, is pressed down to press the tape firmly against an external surface and to space the tape away from the cutting blade 13 during dispensing.

Abstract: A desk top calculator device is supported in a window frame 13 of a casing which includes the window frame and a housing 14. In an “open” configuration shown in the Figure, a keyboard 11 is exposed for use. The keyboard slides into the housing in a “closed” configuration of the device to avoid exposure and/or damage to the keyboard when the device is not in use.
