  • Patent number: 5137787
Abstract: An improved composite plastic panel is disclosed, including a base layer comprising a thermoplastic or thermoset resin, which may be reinforced, and a protective surface layer comprising a polyurethane polymer having a glass transition temperature of at least 80.degree. C. The protective layer forms a strong polar bond with the base layer. Thus, the composite plastic panel displays high water and weather resistance and has an increased useful lifespan.

  • Patent number: 4509288
Abstract: The trap comprises a circumferential body portion formed of mesh material and having an open top and an open bottom. A top member is connected to the body portion and has a planar portion covering the open top of the body portion. A bottom member is connected to the body portion and has a planar portion covering the open bottom of the body portion. A first opening is formed in the trap and covered by a first closure member. The first opening is sized so as to allow a fisherman to place bait within the trap or remove shellfish caught. A second opening is formed in the trap and contains an elongated passage formed of mesh material. A trapdoor is connected to the inner end of the passage to permit a shellfish to enter the trap but inhibit the shellfish from exiting.

  • Patent number: 4390478
Abstract: The apparatus includes a spray nozzle having an orifice plate leading to a vertically oriented opening for directing liquid onto a dispersion plate which is disposed below. The dispersion plate is frusto-conically shaped and has a fluted outer periphery for breaking the liquid up into droplets. A central aperture is formed in the dispersion plate leading to a conical dispersion element which has raised projections on its surface for breaking liquid up into droplets. A filter screen can be removably mounted over the top of the orifice plate for filtering debris or the like prior to its entering the nozzle. The apparatus is especially adapted for use in cross flow water cooling towers.
