Abstract: A connector assembly for a scaffold structure having an upright member or standard and a cross member, comprising an open-ended V or channel-shaped socket fixed to the upright member and a channel-shaped connector member fixed to an end of the cross member. In the fully assembled position, a base flange of the connector member is held, by means of a wedge element, in tight engagement with the outer surface of the socket and arms extending outwardly from the base flange, and over opposite ends of the socket, are such as to be spaced from the outer peripheral surface of the upright member. For location purposes, the free end of the uppermost arm of the connector member is formed with a downwardly depending tongue, or alternatively, the side edges of the uppermost arm are provided with downwardly depending flanges.
Abstract: The invention is concerned with a drop-head support assembly for use with builders scaffolding and is directed to an assembly comprising an upright pillar, a shuttering support member slidably mounted on the pillar, and a wedge device pivotally attached to the pillar to be moved between a horizontal position where it supports the support member and a vertical position where it releases the support member. The upper end of the pillar may also be adapted to receive a detachable head plate device.
Abstract: For use in a scaffold structure having upright support members provided with spaced support elements and cross members for attachment to said support elements of said upright members, a puncheon unit comprising an outer member for attachment to one of said upright members and an inner member telescopically received in said outer member, said outer member having support elements for said cross members and said inner member having support elements for said cross members and transverse holes co-acting with locking means to lock said inner member relative to said outer member. A slidably mounted support collar having support elements for said cross members is provided on said inner member.
Abstract: A supporting collar for attachment to a tubular scaffold member having four radially disposed channel-shaped support brackets, said brackets being interconnected so that the open ends thereof are disposed about a circle. Said collar is formed in two hingedly connected parts, the free ends of said two parts being connectible by a nut and bolt device.
Abstract: A decking beam assembly for use with builders scaffolding which is arranged and constructed to enable different shapes and sizes of filler element to be fixed thereto in order to permit the use of different standard types of decking panels in constructing shuttering for concrete floors.
Abstract: A standard for builders scaffolding having a head fitting for use in coupling two standards together in end-to-end relationship, said head fitting comprising a male adapter element, and a bracket member which is formed at its ends to engage and be fixed to the standard, said bracket also being formed with a projecting slot in which is received a wedge element which, in use, engages and retains in position the adjacent end of said two standards.
