    Abstract: There is provided a recording medium including: simple tracks each configured of arranged pits or arranged marks; and grooved tracks each configured of pits or marks and grooves, the grooves being inserted between the pits or between the marks. The simple tracks and the grooved tracks are arranged alternately in a radial direction at a track pitch of 0.27 micrometers or smaller.
