  • Patent number: 10301728
Abstract: An electrolysis mechanism for deployment in a reservoir of water, the electrolysis system having at least one rotating cathode mounted on an axle and configured to rotate during an electrolysis process, at least one stationary cathode cleaning element deployed so as to contact a face of the rotating cathode such that during the electrolysis process as the rotating cathode, rotates scale buildup on the rotating cathode is removed and at least one stationary anode deployed adjacent to the rotating cathode. A preferred embodiment of which includes a plurality of spaced apart rotating cathodes; a plurality of stationary cathode cleaning elements with one stationary cathode cleaning element deployed in each space between the rotating cathodes so as to contact a face of each of the rotating cathodes it is deployed between; and a plurality of stationary anodes such that at least one of stationary anode is deployed in each of the spaces between the rotating cathodes.

  • Publication number: 20100270008
Abstract: An inline heat-exchanger cleaning system for an industrial production process employs liquid-borne cleaning bodies carried by the process liquid. Various solutions are provided to render the cleaning bodies compatible with a range of process conditions, including acidic conditions, high temperatures, and specific gravities significantly higher and significantly lower than water.

  • Patent number: 6913071
Abstract: The ball trap of the present invention is configured for connection in a pipeline such that the main flow path of the fluid in the pipeline passes through the ball trap. The ball trap includes a sieve conduit with a safety-release sieve gate. The sieve gate is displaceable between a closed position, in which cleaning balls are trapped in the ball trap, and an open position, in which the impedance of the fluid flowing in the pipeline is lowered. The system is configured such that the gate is normally in the closed position and may be displaced to the open position for cleaning purposes or in response to a predetermined pressure differential between the upstream and downstream sides of the sieve conduit.

  • Publication number: 20030079998
Abstract: A device and method for removal of minerals from a supply of liquid such as water. The device includes a tank with an inner surface functioning as a first electrode, at least one inlet for liquid and at least one outlet to a system requiring liquid arranged such that entry and exit of liquid create a cyclonic flow, at least one second electrode within the tank placed so that the cyclonic flow of liquid passes between the two electrodes, and a mechanism for creating an electric current flowing between the two electrodes. The method includes the steps of causing a liquid to circulate cyclonically within a tank, applying an electric current to the circulating liquid so that minerals within the liquid precipitate on an inner surface of the tank, and reversing a polarity of the electric current in order to loosen the precipitated minerals from the inner surface of the tank.
