Abstract: The invention features an electrical extension outlet that is easily assembled and which provides internal isolation to wiring and socket contacts. The components of the outlet are assembled by means of snap fasteners. A double housing and base member construction doubly shields wiring and contacts. Care is taken in the internal design to isolate all metal fasteners from wiring and contacts.

Abstract: The present invention provides an extension cord reeling mechanism having electrical or telephone jacks for connecting the plugs of an appliance or the insert for a telephone. A truncated reeling member is rotatably connected to the flat rear wall of a cylindrical housing, with the reeling member having flanges that are rotatably set along the open circular edge of the housing. The reeling member has a cover having mounted to it a jack enclosure that includes jacks facing outward from the cover and a truncated cone side wall positioned in the housing about which an extension cord is reeled or unreeled. The extension cord is connected to the jack enclosure and extends through a chamber in the reeling member and a hole in the side of the chamber into the housing around the cone-shaped wall which acts as the mounting reel for the cord. The cord then passes from the housing through an aperture in the cylindrical side wall of the housing. The cord has a plug connected to its outer end.

Abstract: An apparatus is described which can be used by an individual for a multiplicity of purposes. The individual carrying the alarm of this invention can use the device to signal for help during a mugging. The device can also be used as a general call for help.In particular, a position sensitive switch allows the device to be used to sound an alarm when an individual wearing the device falls. Additionally, the device can be placed against a door so that it can signal a burglary.

Abstract: The invention features a reflector for an electric bulb wall unit that diffuses and spreads the light over a wider area. The body of the reflector has a light diffusing semi-cylindrical center surface containing many diamond-studded projections. Surrounding the center surface are quarterly-spherical surfaces having saw-toothed striations that diffuse and spread the light in arcuate pathways.

Abstract: The present invention features a device for storing an electrical extension cord. Generally users of an extension cord have a problem with storing the cord before and after use. The present invention provides a device for conveniently and simply extending precisely the amount or extension cord required and also enables the compact storage of the extension cord. The compact storage device is provided with a handle for convenient portability. The storage device is further provided with a direct connection to a multiple receptacle. The direct connection eliminates the problem of movable connections found on other storage devices. The device of the present invention also is provided with an indicator light which lights when the extension cord has been plugged into a source of electric power.

Abstract: A portable apparatus for use by a traveler whereby the traveler is able to protect himself from unauthorized entry through a preselected door and simultaneously protect himself from a fire occuring in the room where the portable apparatus is located.
